SYD Designer Teagan saw my Patriotica series and hit me with her Vampire Skin – with Patriotic makeup. While I was waiting for Cajsa to be ready to shoot, while I was ambling around the grid shopping and meandering I decided to to juxtapose the goth-vampire look with a very girly BRIGHT dress from <3 Cupcakes and some uber high-fashion shades I just picked up at Tesla.
I had to admit I gave a giggle when I spotted this number on SLX. Not a total snicker, but OMG It’s got a scarf at the shoulder and bell bottom swishy sheer legs. Uber fun! It includes SKIN, and several different hair colors. I’m not wearing the skin, it was more pale than I care for but it was stars and stripes forever, I promise you that! It was a lot of fun but I opted to break out Hatchy’s USA FLAG skin instead. Continue reading

For just a linden you can pick up this sweet little July 4 dress in their store in world or on ONREZ. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to break out my color change bracelets from Fresh Baked Goods. Miffy was horrified that I had been in SL over a year and only owned on proper set of boots. So when she gave me these – I knew I had to rock a fun outfit to go with. Something MAD MAX vs. spoiled Diva was what I was going for.
Digit Darkes had a L$1 sale on a hidden item, the Piper shirt and it was an incredible find. Some designers do separates well, some do full outfits, but Digit does both and it’s so much fun to pick up a new piece and see what you can do with it. Continue reading

When Cajsa suggested Play that Funky Music as our theme for the midweek MDR party I knew right away which new dress I was going to wriggle into. From Kuri Style, I got turned onto this dress when I first saw it on Free*Style and had been waiting for a fun social event to wear it to. And of course any excuse to pull out one of my favorite hairstyles – Edgy Wilds from Diversity Hair. I can’t even find this hair anymore at the shop so I may be the only one on the grid who liked it. I was briefly at a loss for what to wear when invited to Bakura for a party with a bunch of clone stormtroopers. A good friend just resurrected from the SL dead plus a newbie friend were looking at me with excitement about going to such a fun sim so I excused myself for a few minutes to go AFK and read my notices and attachments to find something new to wear.
Imagine my delight when I noticed Aleri Darkeshad released a new babydoll cocktail dress and the red color was on sale for 24 hours. I’m never partial to a true babydoll – so I tend to slid the skirs DOWN to the waist but regardless of which way you wear it, this shimmering dress is a fun new addition to my wardrobe. I wanted to be comfy for Memorial Day and remembered that I had a slew of casual separates from WRONG – from Christmas when they gave away a gift a day. Sliding into jeans and a light cotton sweater was an quick and easy choice, especially for a day of boating or cooking out or whatever I was going to be doing. (It gets cold on boats at night you know!).
Plus I’ve been looking for an excuse to wear these Marilyn Monroe shoes I got at Artilleri – so something black seemed like a good fit!
