Bandana Day!

It’s Bandana Day and first thing I did when I signed on to Second Life® was take off my lovely wig and put on this vibrant and lush bandana from Exile. Luckily I snapped it the other day so you can see it in all it’s glory. With my Retro-Ecto outfit supplied by Linden Labs, I headed out for a day of exploration, stopping briefly at Angkor Wat before running over to see the progress on Vogel’s new store, sadly still unfinished but looking good. The vendors are up, there’s just nothing in them.

My old boyfriend Schrottvogel Wei has earned a good reputation for his swimsuits, but his main focus has been his custom surfboards. However, he is expanding his bikini line, launching his new store VOGEL with 59 new bikinis. Why 59? It just happened that way. Anyway, Vogel means bird, hence the adorable logo on the derriere and in the post title.

This line of the song seems so appropriate today for some reason. However, it is purely coincidence that this wsa the next line of the song.

Yes, it’s  odd title for a post, but I am working my way through the songs of Hair for the Hair Festival. Don’t worry, I will stick to the safe songs and promise not to post a series of entries each titled from lines of Sodomy. So! Hair Fair! My first post after Hair Fair opened was about this stunning hair from Exile that I had noted when it was first shown on the feed and my mad dash to get it during the sneak peek. So, imagine my surprise when I signed on and received a lovely thank you gift….and yet another hair style that I really like. This time with  a cap that changes color with a simple touch. I enjoyed the Hair Fair – I loved the bloggers’ sneak peek on Thursday night though spent too much time dancing and too little time looking considering that we only had a bit over an hour.  Going back primless and fancy free, though, I managed well enough to find some great hair. That includes this other find from Exile.  The most exciting thing about Hair Fair is the new-to-me hair designers I find there, or in this case, forgotten. How could I have forgotten, where was my head?  Certainly not in this luscious hairdo – not until the Hair Fair, that is.

Look at that braid – now have you ever seen such an excellent braid in Second Life before?  My avatar jumped up and down and kicked her heels in the air and did assorted and sundry other expressions of delight when that hair rezzed…it’s yummy. Continue reading →

Another great find from the Hair Fair was this extravagantly rich Wild Orchid updo from Exile complete with assorted differently colored wild orchids in the packl. It’s the perfect hair for when you really want to dress up and wear something as rich and exciting as this dress.

I had one priority during last night’s pajama party/sneak peek at the Hair Expo. Come what may, I was going to find the incredible Kaori hair from Exile and snatch it up. And I did and thanks to that, you see it here in all its wild disarray. I am in love. 

So, the Hair Expo? Laggy of course, but hey, swimming and shopping at the same time must do wonders of aerobic goodness for your pixel heart. Overwhelming – so much hair and only one head. But we all know what it really is. It’s the Fashionista’s Big Rock Candy Mountain!

But that’s not all today, Stiletto Moody has new shoes though she’s only teasing up by letting us see them. They don’t go on sale until 6PM tonight. Still, a girls gotta look. Continue reading →
