Emily Dickinson wrote about elves more than once. She truly saw the world in a grain of sand and was inspired by the natural world and by her fantasies. Emilia Redgrave has been inspired by fantasy lately. Whether you look at her dramatic Trinity skins inspired by vampires or her rugged action hero King skins for men complete with blood and bruises or her latest release for Vanity Universe Skin Fair, Avie, the Fairy skin, these skins are important contributions to the fantastical lives of Second Life residents. Vanity Universe Skin Fair got off to a busy start – with a full sim of excited skin shoppers delighting in the new releases and swimming in a sea of demos. PXL Creations newest release for the Fair is Linda Gen3. Hart Larsson released it before the Fair, so many of you may have seen it. I was sick, though, and only got to unpack it until Sunday. I had to blog it even though it’s been blogged several times because it’s such a beautiful and elegant skin. It’s exactly the sort of skin I love, luminous and elegant with many options to allow us to get the exact look we want.

It’s not just the elegant makeups that make me fall in love with PXL Creations skins, it’s the soft and tender sexiness of the body. The tummy and the derriere are delightfully sexy. Special touches are a few stray moles. There’s also a full body tattoo of freckles and cleavage tattoo layers for those who want more uplift.

It's ONLY…SKIN FAIR!!!

Through the skins we choose we define who we are. Or, who we are on that day. When I joined the Grid four years ago I had two skins which I wore for over a year.
Thankfully, those days are over and now we’re chameleons who change our colors like we change our minds. Just like in real life, we can paint on a different face to show you the version of beautiful we want to be today.
I thought I’d kick off with a boutique skin from IDIOSYNCRASY which is owned by Ashia Tomsen.
Ashia is a long time resident of the grid as well and one of the loveliest people I’ve ever interacted with. She’s released ELLA for the skin fair so I thought I’d share with you some of the beautiful makeup options available to personalize this release to your taste.

AHHHH The Secret Store really isn’t much of a secret these days but they make all the fashionistas drool when new releases hit.
The BOHEME dress was no exception.

And it gives me an excuse to pull out some of my fave shoes ever, the BELLES from Shiny Things.
Now I HAVE to go to work!

Perfectly Perky Pink

Have you ever seen a more perfectly perky pink than that in this happy dress from Liriope. The dress name is Night’s Flower, presumably for the black field in which the happy pop-art flowers spread their cheerful glory. The fun and gravity-defying shape of the skirt adds to the sense of joy the dress projects.

One of my favorite clothes designers, and most creative jewelers on the web is Squinternet Larnia of Donna Flora. She’s released the BACI set for Valentine’s fun and I want to eat it up. It reminds of sweet shops where candy making is still an artisan craft versus mass produced assembly line treats.

It was like a sick,cruel joke, that I saw in my offlines the notice about a lingerie release from Baiastice as I lay with fever and chills and other unpleasantries for the last two days. As soon as I could crawl out of the RL and into my grid-world, I had to immediately slip into the gorgeous new releases from Sissy Pessoa.
I couldn’t decide which to blog, so I decided to blog them all.
