134

134, that’s the amount of my Avatar Rendering Cost. I thought about going for 1, but really wanted to see what I could manage and still feel not just dressed, but styled and accessorized. I was aided in reaching my goal by the new skin and hair sets from Monicuzzo Babenco of YourSkin/YourShape. I posted this morning her hair in brown, lamenting the lack of a red hair. In plurk someone mentioned no one ever does blonde…and lo, what should I get but an IM from Monicuzzo alerting me to the fact that she had just finished a blonde skin (one with three shades of blonde hair) and was working on a red one. Yay! I am ready for the Relay For Life Clothing Fair!

This sweet little St Pats number is avail at Simply Brittnee as well as some cute hair (not worn) . If you’ve got a party and are looking for something fun to wear, I liked the festive shamrock pattern on this a lot.

I’m wearing the men’s shirt – so see there is something for boys too.

Possibly my curves are stretching out the texture (insert giggle).

Be sure to pick up the SHAMROCKED skin from Frick, a must wear on St Pat’s!

Innovation

Second Life is full of innovation and Second Life fashion is no different. Designers are always looking for new shapes, new ways with clothing and hair and skin and that’s what makes it so exciting. Today I am sporting two new and innovative pieces that take advances pushed by others another step father. The dress is from Lelutka – a sculptie dress though for modesty’s sake there are glitch clothes underneath. Becuase sculpties don’t move the way flexi-prims do, there’s an AO included to help you keep your arms and hands out of your dress. The hair is an innovation as well, from YourSkin, the hair is painted right on the skin and the only attachment is the chignon in the back.. low lag skin and hair that’s beautiful. The ARC for this outfit was 246.

Wearing O' The Green

posted by Gidge Uriza

Oh it starts out INNOCENTLY enough. I think to myself…..’Self, you know where we haven’t been in a long time? Callie Cline. We should just pop over and see what is what.’ So then it just so happens that I arrive shortly after Callie has marked down everything in her store that is green to 99L.

And it starts. The flurry of mad buying because, since I haven’t been in so long – it’s all NEW to me…….and I’m in this shopping frenzy the likes of which would put off a school of hungry sharks.

This coat dress just screams Edith Head to me. If you don’t know who she is….well look her up. You’ll see I’m right. The dress includes a system skirt so you can drop the prim for a sleeker look. It has has several layers on the top (thoughtful thank you!) for my options if you are mixing and matching. Continue reading

Swimming (with some Posemaker Appreciation)

So, I wanted to show you how gorgeous the new skin from Genesis is and thought a swim shoot would be ideal. I threw on one of Vogel’s gorgeous bikinis and jumped in the water. Using poses from Niqotine’s wonderful Water Poses set, I shot a few pictures that show off the skin and the poses. Continue reading

One Night This Furry Geisha and I Went In Kimonos

posted by Gidge Uriza

One night, alone and kinda bored on the grid, I was accessorizing outfits when I saw my friend Furrball come online. I messaged him and we started chatting and eventually he popped over to my house, to visit while I figured out what went with what.

He was wearing, his normal furry getup, a kimono and carrying a big parasol.

I couldn’t resist, and slipped into my new Kimono from Sweetaholic….which as I’m sure by now you realize is one of my secret passions.  I mean SERIOUSLY I do have enough Kimonos to start a harem of geisha……and a big harem. (I’m mixing cultures- but I dunno what else to call it – a gaggle of geisha?Alliteration is nice). Continue reading

Hearts & Moonshine

This newest design from Moonshine Clothing is called Gem – and how apt that name is for this is a gem of a dress.  The bodice comes on all layers and can easily be worn with pants and other skirts. The question is who would want to wear it with any other skirt than this luscious little gem. Normally I run from fabric covered in hearts – thinking they all look a bit twee. Not this. Partly because the colors are not the ubiquitous pink, red and white  but the fresher green, blue and brown. It’s not just that though, it’s also the fine details such as the lacing on the skirt and the perfect little metal holes for the laces. You would have to look long and hard to find something so fresh, new and exciting – and with hearts on it no less.
