The Hunger for Mesh

faMESHed

Nyu has released this fabulous new dress for faMESHed, the new monthly mesh event. She made it in five gorgeous colors – and I could not resist the gorgeous green. So, today is the first day of faMESHed and I have been wondering how to pronounce it for some time. Should I take a cue from Otis Redding and think of it as the Fa Fa Fa Fa Fa Fa Fa MESHed event? Or is it Fame Shed as someone boldly asked on plurk. Or, as seems to be the consensus in my totally unscientific plurk poll is it fa-meshed. However you want to pronounce it, it will feed your hunger for mesh, if you’re famished.

Early On a Sunday Morning

Nzuri Beryl

I do not understand why my cat thinks I have to wake up when he wakes up, but he is so insistent, rubbing his face on mine and meowing over and over and over until I get up. Unfortunately, he woke up at 3:45 this morning. I have tried to go back to sleep a few times, but without any luck. So, bleary-eyed and grumpy I logged into Second Life hoping to get cheered up. And of course, i was! The first step in the process of turning my frown upside down was putting on this romantic Beryl Dress from Nzuri. It’s a beautifully done empire waisted dress with a lovely pink skirt and floral bodice. The belt at the bodice is a great detail that elevates the dress out of the ordinary.

Where Are You? We’ve Got Some Work to Do Now.

Camille or Velma

While you were playing Glitch and Skyrim, Daphne took an arrow to the knee and Velma graduated from college and updated her look a bit. Yes, she still has the beloved orange sweater with a skirt from Tres Blah, but she added some cool earrings, kickin’ boots and a chic short cut.

I’ve Been Bad…..

Now that I have your attention….. Well, I kinda have been bad.  It’s been more than a month since my last blog post.  I’ve gotten out of habit and I really need to jump back into the fire.   So, with that, I have my contribution for Week 6 of the 52 Week’s of Color – Alice Blue.  And its a saucy lil’ lingerie set from Lil’Lace, called Sugar Blue. (Sorry I’m not in-world and do not have LM’s).

The First Time I Ran Away

apr27_004

I am mixing mesh pants with a system sweater and sculpts, assured that the system top with be firmly tucked in to my pants waist band. This sweater is from The Sea Hole and has a gorgeous teal and brown crocheted lace insert down the front. It comes with a rounded neckline. With all embellishment on the front, I did not want to add a necklace and decided to add this lovely brown collar scarf from The Secret Store.

The first time I ran away I saw
Faces in the dreams I heard
Voices in the storm they say
Uh, uh,… water falls
Uh, uh

Serendipitous Swan

Swansong Serendipity

This gorgeous jacket from Swansong is called Serendipity. Serendipity is one of my favorite words as well as a lovely concept. While I don’t believe in fate or karma or other supernatural interventions in our lives, I do believe in serendipity. Serendipity is making desirable discoveries by accident, finding fortunate or agreeable things while you’re not looking for them, the happy coincidences of life. It’s that charming coincidence of deciding to wear a bright, colorful jacket like this one from Swansong and teleporting to Collbora88 and finding the fabulously florescent colored shoes from R2 that are a perfect complement, without even intending to look for them.
