Hair Fair opened at midnight and in the overwhelming excitement of “shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen…beautiful hair” it is easy to forget the purpose of Hair Fair. It isn’t actually all about the hair. Well, actually it is, but the hair it is about it not made of pixels. It’s made of love.

KiK at Hair Fair
Hair Fair 2016 opened at midnight and I was so excited I was flipping with joy. Also because I wanted to show off my lovely espadrilles from Mutresse released at Collabor88. Wow! Autocorrect turns Mutresse into Mutters, now that’s one for the books.
Hair Fair is always the most anticipated fundraising event of the year. There are several reasons for it. First, it’s hair. Second, every year the planning and execution is better than the year before. Now, when you may have thought they reached the pinnacle of perfect planning last year and they could not possibly get better, but yet, somehow they did. The biggest change this year was not inward, but was instead on the Hair Fair web site where you will find a gallery of all the shops and all the hairs, a guide to Hair Fair at your fingertips.
The theme is a movie lot of middle America. It’s all very fun with rows of tract housing for the stores. I know with the guide, you could just pop in and out, but don’t forget how much fun it is to see what they designers get up to decorating their shops.

So, I am not going to write about quiche. But this post will be a quicky and my college roommate pronounced quiche as quickie, so it has come to have an entirely new context for me, especially as she used it in the sentence, “There’s nothing I like better than a good quiche (quicky).” And of course, she said it front of a big bunch of people. Anyway, I am super busy getting ready for Love Donna Flora, so this post will be a quiche.
In my last post I mentioned that I loved this top from The Secret Store for Collabor88. To reiterate that point, I am wearing it again. It comes in several prints and they are each and every one luscious – as luscious as a good quiche.
There is a old saying that goes “if you want to climb a wall, throw your hat over it.” In essence, make a commitment that puts some skin in the game so failure will cost you. That is good advice, Sometimes we need consequences to motivate us. However, I am not throwing this hat over the wall. I am sure I must have some ball cap somewhere that will do. This hat, one of several from Glam Affair for Collabor88, got me digging in my closet to add some zing to the zip of this cute little dress from Hucci, also from Collabor88.
I don’t even know if there IS a Halloween edition of this challenge. I could go look, but I’m lazy as you know.
But what I do know is, for Halloween every year I collect silly things that I don’t need and keep them forever. SUCH AS…the boots. G Field had them out two years ago. They might’ve been for cheap or for free. I forget. HAD TO HAVE THEM. Continue reading
I decided that since it was Halloween and I have a wee little baby that I bought a costume for, that it’d be fun to explore SILENT’s Trick or Treat neighborhood that is set up! It’s a great build with lots of houses.
Each house has a little NPC type thing that comes out and gives you a candy! It’s really cute, and so much details was put into each house. Continue reading

I really wanted you to see all sides of the short cuts, especially the ones from MADesigns with the intricate fade cuts on the tattoo layer. MADesigns tattoo layers are modifiable. You receive a single one that you color to match your hair. All of these cuts are at Hair Fair and a portion of every hair sold goes to Wigs for Kids. I have included several men’s styles that seem to work well for women as well.

I am mixing mesh pants with a system sweater and sculpts, assured that the system top with be firmly tucked in to my pants waist band. This sweater is from The Sea Hole and has a gorgeous teal and brown crocheted lace insert down the front. It comes with a rounded neckline. With all embellishment on the front, I did not want to add a necklace and decided to add this lovely brown collar scarf from The Secret Store.
