This is a dress I got just to show off these pearls from Muse. Yes, the dress is elegant and gorgeous, but it’s all about the pearls. The thing is, folks, you have to appreciate the craft that lead to the design of a  dress that is beyond perfect for showing off elegant jewelry.

This is one of the outfits that makes me feel all capable and organized. Wearing this, my duplicate landmarks magically disappear and the pinks are in the pink folder and the purples in the purple folder and all of a sudden I know whether I should file salmon under pink or orange and do it consistently.

Well, sadly that doesn’t happen anywhere but in my head. But I sure do look the part.

Cute Dress

Sometimes a dress is so unique, chic and adorable that I find myself putting extra effort into choosing accessories for it. Nitmantea by Untone is just such a dress. First, the fabric texture has to be seen to be believed. My photos cannot do it justice. Its soft and cuddly knitting is comforting to wear, but it also give the baby doll the weight to make it hang flatteringly.  Something this adorable needs shoes that really show it off and that where the Artemys boots from NAIMA come in. And guess what, you can bend your knee and the boots still look wonderful. But I think the topper is the Ghost stockings that seem to tie everything together.

Looking so chic, I planned to stroll down Madison Ave and strut my stuff among the modeling and style greats…but my timing must have been off, the streets of New York City were empty. At least there were no tumbleweeds.

Lady Thera is the sort of designer who once you own one of her items, you will want to own all of them…and luckily, she has her entire collection for sale in a box….though I noticed that far to late to benefit from the discount.

Dakota Pantsuit From Casa de Shai

I didn’t buy these pants when I first saw them, wondering how that high waist would work. Sure, it can flatter the back end, but what about when you sit?  As a photographer, I look at clothes with frames in my mind, seeing the photo problems the clothes could cause. I need not have worried. This clothes are camera-friendly. The success of this suit is really in the details. See how smoothly the bell sleeves hang and yet do not fall through my arm. The gathering at the elbow and torso give it the naturalistic look we all want. And what would be better to wear with this than the gorgeous new Serenity shoes from Aphrodite Outlander of Aphrodite Creations. Nikki Ree's Snow QueenI have thought about offering a fashion blog for some time and the first day of the New Year seemed an appropriate time to do it and what better to start with than the fabulous Nikki Ree gown I work the the Black & White ball @ Vicious last night. 

It’s Snow Queen by Nikki Ree and certainly earned it name. The dress is enhanced with snowflake lace throughout with  the kind of detailed craftsmanship that has made Nikki Ree such a big name in SL fashion.

On my flickr page you can see detail photos of the bodice, sleeves and hemline that will demonstrate how thoroughly Nikki Ree stuck to her snow theme while designing this dress.  

I paired the dress with Adam N Eve’s Incanti shoes in Silver with White Diamonds, Muse’s elegant Dauphine necklace and earrings and a Winter Queen mask from Innovations.     Earring

Funny story about the mask. I knew Innovations has a great collection of masks and popped over there with little time to spare before the party and there was a line. Knowing that I didn’t really need to browse all the masks, I asked the woman at the vendor if she would mind pausing if a white mask came up during her browsing since I was only looking for white. She looked at my dress and said, I know the mask for you and paged back a few to this mask…and she was right, it was  a perfect match with just a subtle hint of the blue-white frostiness that made the Snow Queen dress look so icy. Thanks again, o helpful shopper.
