Any fashionista worth her salt knows the first thing she ever got at a good store. That FIRST thing she picked up, and knew she liked the place. For me, it was these shoes from Artilleri – I got them both with cherries and with the oxidized Warhol Marilyn on them.

I think they rule but tend to forget I have them. When new releases came out a couple of weeks ago I had to go see what was new since I hadn’t been in a long time.

And I got swept up into an Artilleri new release buying frenzy.

These pants make me glad Gidge does her situps every night. PHEW!

And then while I was in my flurry of purchasing I broke down and bought my first SL glasses ever. I couldn’t resist I thought they were a hoot.  They look like FINs on a 50s automobile.

Ok ok ok – I know I’m making sweet love to Artilleri all over the place but it’s just such a fun shop.  I guess I got caught up in the moment…..SUE ME.

Modern Mourning

This uber modern look (I enjoy using the word UBER without the umlauts to annoy others) was exactly the look I wanted to honor a friend and colleague who recently died in a car crash.

He was studying fashion design and my little hobby here eventually was outed by our frequent fashion and styling conversations as he was learning to create digitally for school.  Thus, a nonSLer became one of our readers because he was fascinated at the creations and how we styled them. Going on RL vacation sent me shopping for beachwear on the grid and I was ecstatic when I ran into this hot island inspired piece at BOOM. I thought the bikini with the slightly transparent cover up on the jacket layer was a great look and really exotic- a MUST have for my vacation shopping. (SHUT UP I CAN IMAGINE I WORE IT ON RL VACATION).

It was also a great opportunity to take one of Hart Larsson’s PXL CREATIONS Grace skins in Fashion Tan tone for a run. I don’t wear a LOT of tan skins but I do like the warm tone on his.  Plus I like the nipples and the naughty bits on his skins. Where else can you say “Oh my friend does my hoohaha?” and not mean something sexual – except on the Grid? Continue reading →

Casual Friday +Plus SPORK!

So what’s fun about plurk is that you get to talk to all sorts of people throughout SL that you might never meet otherwise.  And you get a chance to talk to creators a lot and if you get REALLY lucky somethings they throw out a “Hey Who Wants to check this out” kinds plurk and you can go ME ME ME ME! and pick up something cool – often before it’s release.

But mostly what’s fun is just the random banter, and the chatter of a group of voices who are becoming friendsd. Who kid and tease and joke with one another.
