I love the fabric in the Adima dress from Baiastice. The black on brown print gives the dress a hint of bygone eras juxtaposed with the modern form of the dress with its short skirt of multiple layers of ruffles, netting and poufs.

Strawberry Pie & Country Chic
When I saw the new G2 Patched Jeans from WoE, I thought they would look so good with the new Country Chic collection from L’ABel. I just love the synchronicity of Second Life® which dictates that things that work well together come to us around the same time. The actual principle is the Linden Law of Meaningful Coincidence located in the Terms of Service section titled, The Collective Unconscious and Second Life. Look it up!
Any doubts you may have about Second Life and the Acausal Connecting Principle will be squashed when you consider that at the same time, Gos released these Pimp Your Pumps Buckle Ballet flats. As you can clearly see, synchronicity is the law of the land in Second Life.

IFW10 – Lazing by the Pond
Yes, me again! I know I am posting several posts today and I will post several tomorrow as well. International Fashion Week is only 4 days and there’s just so much fashion joy to celebrate. This time I want to celebrate the summer scrumptiousness that is Shiki’s Pink Fantasy.
I hopped over to Vie Privee – a new place introduced to me by Hybrid Ansar who sent me a lovely list of LMs to explore.
I Feel Dotty, Oh So Dotty
I feel dotty, oh so dotty
I feel dotty and witty and bright!
And I pity
Any girl who isn’t me tonight!
Well, it’s not a perfect fit for the I Feel Pretty lyrics, but this Princess Dotty dress from Modern Gypsy is definitely dotty, witty and bright, so why not? It’s certainly a fun way of looking at it.
It's All About the Pants
This outfit is all about the pants – even though with the high boots you only see a bit of them, that bit is enough because these are Pants of Power. Well, actually, I just made that part up. Still the new Graphic Skinny Pants from Modern Gypsy are cool enough and simultaneously hot enough to turn heads 360 degrees – so that makes them Pants of Power in my book.
Dark Hearts
House of Dashwood has produced a couple amazing dresses inspired by Alice in Wonderland – and my favorite was the Dark Hearts dress that is perfect for any Queen of Hearts with an edge.
A Baiastice Cocktail
This little cocktail dress is not Baiastice Neat, but a lovely little Baiastice Cocktail mixing one part Baiastice with one part Malt. The skirt is Baiastice’s lovely taffetta stripe skirt and the top is from Malt’s Florentia dress – and add-on frill that some perfectly complements the skirt that it looks like they were made to be together – a perfect martini of an outfit, stirred not shaken. I prefer gin and you stir gin martinis and shake vodka martinis, unless you’re just copying James Bond without knowing why he wants his shaken. Bond’s a vodka martini man, the poser!
Comfy Cozy Are We
Don’t you just love those wam, cozy fabrics that feel like you’re wearing a hug? That’s why people buy crazy things like the wearable blankets and such. They want their clothes to give them hugs. Well, I won’t be wearing a blanket any time soon, but I’m not immune to the love of huggable clothes like this comfy little dress from BeetleBones. Just one look and you know it’s warm, cozy and soft enough to pet.
Don't Hate the System Skirt!
I am a confirmed lover of the system skirt. It’s really the only way to get the long, lean look of a pencil skirt. There’s no skirt shape more flattering and sexy than a pencil skirt at least in my opinion. Like most people, I found the initial look of a pencil skirt in SL a bit disturbing because my derriere just ballooned when I put on a skirt. That’s because the system skirt floats above the mesh instead of laying flush on it. I quickly learned to create a skirt shape that fixed all that and have been loving system skirts ever since. It’s not that much work and you only have to do it once – make a copy of your shape, make the edits and save it as Skirt Shape and you’re good to go. There’s an awesome tutorial for you from Miko Okegamu on youtube.
Summer In Textiles
Atomic Bambi’s designer has branched out into clothing with a new store opening right next to her Atomic Bambie mainstore called SwanSong and oh my, I like. Take this lovely casual dress I have tossed on over a bikini. Both are from her store, both are summer in textiles and both are lovely.
