The PXL Creations Seven Sins Gacha skin Vanity is gorgeous with the prideful purple that for centuries signified royalty and imperial power. Buckcherry’s corresponding song for their Confessions album is called Pride. Frankly, it’s a pretty bad song, probably written to fulfill their need to cover all seven sins. You can probably listen to a sample on iTunes, but it’s a poor thing compared to the rest of the series. Good thing for us, the PXL Creations Vanity skin is nothing like the song. It’s a beautiful skin!
Number four on the Seven Sins series celebrating the coincidentally simultaneous release of PXL Creations Seven Sins Gacha skins and Buckcherry’s Confessions album with songs focusing on each of the Seven Sins. Today’s sin is Wrath – and the skin is deliciously maleficent while the song was appropriately angry and hard-edged. Of course, what made it work so well for wrath aurally made it one I didn’t like as well as the others.
Hey man, do you wanna get a fist so hard?
Do you wanna see who’s in charge?
I’m gonna show you your future
Hey man, you think you’re strong enough to play this game?
It’s gonna burn like acid rain, you’re gonna need some sutures
I got this need to be broken and I’m taking you on this ride
I got this need to broken and I keep all my wrath inside

Recognizing the happy coincidence of PXL Creations’ Seven Sins Gacha Skins coming out the same week as the new Buckcherry album Confessions, today I am featuring Gluttony.
I get it started and then I get brokenhearted
Because I can’t get a hold of the beast
It’s like I’m blind, I’m running out of time
Everything I crave is out of reach
It is serendipitous that the same week that PXL Creations releases a Seven Sins Gacha skin that Buckcherry released their new album Confessions featuring the Seven Sins. The album was released today, though I listened to a preview after reading about it in Rolling Stone earlier this week. The idea of putting the skins and the album songs together was irresistible. So, for the Greed skin from PXL, here’s the Greed song from Buckcherry.
I’ve lost my place in line. I don’t wanna cause trouble,
But I’m here to get mine.
So if you could, would you kindly move?
I’ll only ask you one time, cause I’m gonna get through.
I don’t need anybody else,
I’m not afraid to take a risk, I don’t practice good health.
I don’t pray and I don’t rely
On the lawmakers telling me what’s a crime.
I don’t care who I have to trample,
I don’t care, cause I want it bad.
The consequences ain’t no fucking matter,
Greed is the answer, everyone’s going mad.
Taking everything you can,
Stealing right from your hand,
When you’re gonna make a stand?
Cause greed will drive you mad.
Sometimes I will come across an item in a store that is far out of my comfort zone, but still irresistibly appealing for some reason. That happened when I saw this very revealing and outré bodysuit from Diram. However, appealing as it was, I needed to change it up a bit for me to wear it so I added this adorable mesh skirt from Peqe. I loved how its bold prints contrast with the stripes of the body suit and the interplay of its softness with the bodysuit’s harder lines.
We take the pressure, and we throw away conventionality, belongs to yesterday.
There is a chance that we can make it so far.
We start believin’ now that we can be who we are. Grease is the word.
Grease is the word, is the word that you heard.
It’s got a groove, it’s got a meaning.
Grease is the time, is the place, is the motion.
Grease is the way we are feeling.
I will be DJ’ing at The Velvet at Noon today – a Rez Day party for a much-loved resident who frequents the club. What is so amazing about him is that he has never said a word. He just beeps or honks the horn of his car avatar, yet manages to communicate approval and welcome. Most of all he communicates joie d’vivre. He joins in events with gusto, finding super-sized sunglasses for his windshield for the beach event and flower for the Valentine’s Day Party. In this chat-centric world we inhabit, his life as a nonverbal communicator is performance art of the highest level. So, he turns 1 today and we wish him the very best and many happy returns.

All over the world
Similarly made

In a motorcade
Abandoned when they’re old
Cars are cars
All over the world

What could be more exuberant than the color and play of prints in this fabulously wild dress from Nylon Outfitters.
When I saw this dress from Nylon Outfitters for Collabor88, I decided to wear it for my Mardi Gras set when I DJ’ed at The Velvet. It has that flamboyant exuberance with which the last day before Lent is celebrated in many parts of the world. For someone raised in a religious tradition stripped of anything approaching exuberance, it is a fascinating spectacle. There is an element of the opera bouffe in the decadent and wildly flamboyant celebration of music, life and the sensory pleasures for that last Fat Tuesday before the penitent and solemn Ash Wednesday and the month of sacrifice for Lent. As an outsider to the faith, the rituals are like a play, a passionate, loud and beautiful play of extremes – melodrama in its highest form.
On Project Runway this week, Zac Posen explained the need for fashion to succeed commercially, adding that Fashion is not a Fine Art because it must be commercial. Then, I saw this dress from Shiki working in collaboration with the artist Vinn Wong and I have to ask, how is this not Fine Art?
