This is not fashion-related, though many of the people in the picture above are very fashionable. It’s just something to tell you what I am up to. I have started a little project I am calling Double Take, two snaps close up of everyone I know. So, if I IM you and ask if you have 10 minutes free, this is probably why.
So I was sent on a wild goose chase on Saturday. I saw a woman with adorable freckled skin that I didn’t recognize and asked her where she got it. She said it was from DrLife – so off I went to DrLife where there was not one freckled skin to be had. Actually the skins were lovely examples of the Japanese style of skins, hand-drawn, sweet and almost luminescent. I decided to wander around the store some more to see if the freckles were hiding up the stairs and found some fab hair, though the stair ramp does not work as it’s blocked by a prim so you must cam to see the upstairs of the shop. It’s worth it. Look at that hair.
I found these dresses there, too, but suggest you go to the Feel China store directly because they’re in a vendor of 62 separate items. And with that I think I just revealed how far I can go when I am intrigued by a store.
Okay, this is only sort of purple. I am easing into the big Paint the Grid Purple todo tomorrow with this wisteria colored frock from Couverture. The shoes are ones I chose as part of my Blogger Appreciation gift from Maitreya – from the wonderful Soho boots. What you could see if you zoomed is that fabric is very similar to the fabric in the jumper. I could not resist.

First up, today is the SXY2nd Magazine Launch Wingding on the SXY2nd Sim and it’s a full scale Whup-ti-doo! From 12-4pm SLT it’s beach wear so put on your beach clothes or bathing suits and head over to party!

When I put on the wonderful flamenco-inspired dress Aibell from StoRin I fell in love with the skirt and its lovely form and structure. Flamenco made me think of Spain and of course of the magnificent traje de lus that a torero would wear in the bull ring. I had just the thing, an outfit from Bare@Rose that was typical Bare@Rose – complete and detailed and perfect from head to toe. Putting the two together seemed inevitable.

My recent drop by the DSN was a gorgeous smexy baby-doll nighty from JEALOUSY whose main-store I have yet to find. I went to the LM I had but it said they’d moved, and then I tried to get the new LM giver to give me one but it wouldn’t soooooo, I’m assuming they’ve moved and I will find them soon.
Delicately sexy, but definitely something for alone time OR time with someone you know VERY well ( or are intending to know well in very short order), the Booty Baby-doll has sleek styling and opaque texture while being JUST a bit revealing. (You gotta look CLOSE) Continue reading
I always love a good system skirt like the one with this dress from Baiastice. Sadly, many women avoid them becuase they don’t know how to adjust their shape so they think system skirts give them balloon butts. Well, technically, I guess system skirts do give you balloon butt, but if you shrink your butt before hand, it’s no biggie. I want to mention this because there’s a great tutorial over at What the Fug? If you avoid system skirts because of butt balloonery, head over there right now!!

I remember it really well, the first time Cajsa showed up in Ivalde. She was wearing one of the colors of the dress pictured ABOVE and my first thought was “WTF? Where did she find clothes like that?” I was still peeling myself out of the shorty tank shorty skirt crew and trying to figure out where all the decent clothes were BESIDES Digit Darkes. That skirt set burned into my mind, and the next time I saw her in something retro I asked her where she got it.
