Having spent the past week watching runway shows and snapping pics mainly in my Glow Box, it was fun to get out of the studio and snap pics in-world again. You will be seeing them soon, these were shot on the 4th before Modavia Fashion Week and busy, busy, busy days. I love the casual outfit and the gorgeous top from Malt and have been eager to share it with you.
Yeah, a tale about a beautiful dark/goth skin from (fashionably dead) that has been set out for 50L only: it’s “Shark”, Toast Bard’s item for this Fifty Linden Friday and i absolutely love it!
Did i say that i love it? 😛
It comes in three different tones, so everyone’s happy 🙂

One of the joys of events like Modavia Fashion Directory is the discovery of new designers and new stores and sometimes, as in the case of Karija Azalee, whose collection for Gasqhe blew me away. I was struck by the originality and the unique vision of her collection so planned to check out her store and saw no info in her picks. I im’ed to suggest she put her LM in her picks and she confess she didn’t have a store yet, but would in the near future. In the interim, she has a boutique booth at Moravia. The booths will stay open for two months, so there’s plenty of time for you to get there.
I think I compared her textures as Cezanne on Acid. They have the muted, soft look of watercolors. This dress, Jils, makes me think of a bed if irises. Irises were my mom’s favorite flower and they always find a soft spot in my heart.
The final day of Modavia Fashion Week opened with the Dutch design house CIA from Ayla Strading in a joint presentation with Joy Laperriere of SHI. I am new to CIA and am thrilled with the introduction. I love the bright, saturated colors and definitely plan to pick up at least that black top with the floral embroidery.

It’s Not Easy Being Green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over
cause you’re not standing out
Like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky
But green is the color of spring
and green can be cool and friendly like
and green can be big like a mountain
or important like a river
or tall like a tree
This song made me think of creators who truly make nice, very well made items that might not be THE BIG GUNS you see releasing news at Modavia. They’ve got talent, they’ve got verve but they’re not the big fashion houses we’ve spent the past week drooling over.
Regardless, there are some brands that release fun and pretty pieces that are just as NOT TO BE MISSED as anything else. The precious dress from SOMNIA is a great example. Released in MYRIAD colors and on basically EVERY LAYER POSSIBLE (good god Sanura when do you SLEEP) Â this is a great example that there are gems laying about.
You just have to get out and go shopping. 🙂
And, dig the awesome guillotine necklace from Bewildebeest and the new statement ring from Dark Mouse. SWEEET New Jewelry Is SWEEEET.

Wednesday kicked off with two hair salons presenting collections. The first was Mirja Mills EMOtions with fabulously romantic flowing and embellished hair. The one on the lower right is a must for me, I think.
My outfit today is inspired by Milk Motion’s new shoes, “My Wood Sandals.” I’ve always adored the look of Swedish Hasbeens, and now my avatar can totally sport them. See the shoes and outfit credits behind the cut.
