Cajsa is always thinking of new things to do to celebrate the things we like, and while I’d like to take credit for this idea, I can’t. I’d like to welcome you to the firs edition of FAST FIVE – the five blog posts that I found inspiring, pretty, made me shop or otherwise caught my eye today – and which I think you are remiss if you don’t see them too. We’ll do this column as the spirit moves us. Could be daily could be weekly could be ten times a day (un-likely).

1.OWLS – There is something lovely and whimsical about people who like owls. Owls are sort of ruthless predators who like to gut things then eat them. PXL Creations WRATH

Number four on the Seven Sins series celebrating the coincidentally simultaneous release of PXL Creations Seven Sins Gacha skins and Buckcherry’s Confessions album with songs focusing on each of the Seven Sins. Today’s sin is Wrath – and the skin is deliciously maleficent while the song was appropriately angry and hard-edged. Of course, what made it work so well for wrath aurally made it one I didn’t like as well as the others.

I chose this dress from Faster Pussycat because its strong lines are accented with white stitching giving it a very disciplined look while the ruff is reminiscent of how animals raise their hackles in anger and also of Queen Elizabeth I who could be wrathful and powerful.

The Classics

Today has been one of those crazy days where everything goes wrong. First it started out with my online bank telling me my password was incorrect then it was a trip to the bank where I paid two dollars for the ATM to print out my last 10 transactions but it was out of paper so I never received them. Then I broke two nails and spilled coffee on me. Oh, and let’s not forget about how the alarm clock went off this morning for no reason and woke up my child and therefore me too.

Before MTV, HBO used to do “Music Shorts” which were quickly renamed “Music Videos” and in between movies, you might get two or three videos. It’s the place I saw POP MUSIC (1979 for you non believers) video first. I also saw “Video killed the Radio Star” and other late 70s precursors to 80s pop.  A lot of great 80s music, iconic pieces even, launched in 1979.

Noting once again the delicious coincidence of PXL Creations releasing the Seven Sins Gacha skins the same week that Buckcherry released the Seven Sins as part of their Confessions album, I was elated to see then newest release from Shiki featuring a dress called Envy. Seriously, does serendipity get any better than that?

Confessions: Greed

I loved the picture from my logout screen and decided to use it instead of the picture I took.

It is serendipitous that the same week that PXL Creations releases a Seven Sins Gacha skin that Buckcherry released their new album Confessions featuring the Seven Sins. The album was released today, though I listened to a preview after reading about it in Rolling Stone earlier this week. The idea of putting the skins and the album songs together was irresistible. So, for the Greed skin from PXL, here’s the Greed song from Buckcherry.

Sometimes I will come across an item in a store that is far out of my comfort zone, but still irresistibly appealing for some reason. That happened when I saw this very revealing and outré bodysuit from Diram. However, appealing as it was, I needed to change it up a bit for me to wear it so I added this adorable mesh skirt from Peqe. I loved how its bold prints contrast with the stripes of the body suit and the interplay of its softness with the bodysuit’s harder lines.

My friend has been blathering on in her “I am always right” sort of way that I needed to download Niran’s viewer because it makes Firestorm look like an old bag lady. Only she wasn’t so polite.
