Chloe in Etheria

posted by Gidge Uriza

The Etheria event is a perfect melding of girly goodness in my world. Gorgeous clothes and jewelry – really? FABULOUS.

The collaboration between Carolines and Ingenue brought together vintage styling with some gorgeously imagined jewels to enhance them,in coordinating or complimentary  colors.

I love the realism of the boning textured into the bodice of this gown. Hoists the girls up – just like in RL! Continue reading

People Say Thanks In The Sexiest Ways

Bastet Hazelnut recently asked for ideas of places to shoot pictures on plurk and since I have a notecard that I save landmarks for nice spots to shoot pictures with notes about permissions, I passed it over to her. It’s out of date and I keep promising myself I will spend the 2 or 3 days of teleporting around that it would take to clean it up, but dang it, everytime I try I get so many failed tp’s. Today I spent nearly an hour trying to update and check landmarks and made a total of four successful teleports. This was after taking care not to wear scripted hair, jewelry and shoes so that scripts would not be hanging me up. Argggh! However, it you want a copy of your own, just IM me in-world and I will pass it to you.

Bastet very kindly sent me a thank you gift – this gorgeous lace lingerie set. I could not resist shooting it right away because it was just so frilly and fun. People say thanks in the sexiest ways like giving a guide on rabbit vibrators as a gift! The name of her store is NUT and now I owe her an apology because the instant I read that, I immediately thought of a song my older sister would sing to me when I was a kid. Of course, I think she owes me an apology for getting that song stuck in my head. I want to share the pain, but will warn you that this song burns brain cells.

Commentary with a Dash of Glitter

Callie Cline released a cotton-candy sweet confection called the little glitter dress. Perfect name. It’s little, especially in length and it glitters with all the soft pastels of spring. I adore the dress and thought it was perfect for the softly romantic new Chloe skin from Exile.

A Baiastice Cocktail

This little cocktail dress is not Baiastice Neat, but a lovely little Baiastice Cocktail mixing one part Baiastice with one part Malt. The skirt is Baiastice’s lovely taffetta stripe skirt and the top is from Malt’s Florentia dress – and add-on frill that some perfectly complements the skirt that it looks like they were made to be together – a perfect martini of an outfit, stirred not shaken. I prefer gin and you stir gin martinis and shake vodka martinis, unless you’re just copying James Bond without knowing why he wants his shaken. Bond’s a vodka martini man, the poser!

If the Duck of Death Wore Baiastice….

posted by Gidge Uriza

It is my opinion that the Cowboy Boots of Evil go with more things than I ever break them out for.  But when Baiastice celebrated it’s 3rd Anniversary and Sissy was gracious enough to offer awesome outfits at a discount to celebrate, I knew I needed boots with this one.

And what better boots than the most evil boots I own? Continue reading

Blazin Hawt

Lelutka has several new releases that are quite exciting and fully in the Lelutka tradition of à la page fashion. My favorite of the new releases is the Blazin dress made of layers of ruffled folds. The fabric texture is amazingly detailed and so real you want to touch it. I chose the peach version of the dress because it’s one of my favorite colors – a color that just always looks good. However, there are many colors, some soft like the peach and other electric colors like yellow and purple. I can imagine purchasing this dress in several colors and even mixing and matching, perhaps wearing the top tier in another color. [Update: You can see how well that can be done by taking a peek at Nina Fessbinder’s combination of Blazin in yellow and purple.]

GidgeKitty – In Your Dreams…….

posted by Gidge Uriza

The lingerie from Reasonable Desires has been sitting on my bedroom floor, as my friends can attest, for quite a while. I just couldn’t decide what to do with it. I really liked it but wanted to do something different than my usual with it……….

and then it hit me. GIDGE KITTY! Continue reading

Minerva

posted by Gidge Uriza

I received the Minerva Dress and the coordinating Porto Nova jewelry from Indyra Originals a while back and I have to confess that, like the day I got my FIRST ever review copies – I jumped out and did a dance around the room.

Why? Well………because like Digit Darkes, Indyra Originals was one of my first loves. It was a store I couldn’t afford and the store I got my FIRST EXPENSIVE dress from, a gift from a friend I miss – to wear to a formal Mardi Gras event. I had actually SEEN it in Second Style Magazine and a bunch of my old friends were going to a big fancy event & poor Gidgy didn’t have anything to wear. My friend Jennifer Lemmon bought me the dress and after wandering around the store, I was addicted. Continue reading
