I am slightly addicted to pose props, particularly pose sets that come complete with the background, props and poses all in one gorgeous picture frame of goodness. That’s why I look forward the the photo boxes that Whimsy Winx releases for My Addict each time around. I had a lot of fun with the Bright Lights box, particularly after pulling out my own bright lights or projectors.
I am so in love with Hybie’s photo, I hallways don’t want to post and move it from the top of the page. I am lazy today and wanted to wear something comfy and cozy. This fun, loose and comfy top from NYU seems perfect for the day curling up with Anti-Fragile, my current read while marrow bones simmer away, making a rich broth for some risotto. My cat is on my shoulder while I read and I am sure he must have an opinion on the state of the world.
I have an opinion on this top. I love its details that elevate it beyond the t-shirt that it first appears to be. Notice the high cut arm holes, the neat edging on the sleeves and the gorgeous button-down back and lovely sweeping curve of the hem. This is casual, but also chic.
My busy Friday started with going over to our new office at Glookbone to check out the studios and the build. Cajsa picked up one of the more lovely buildings at Scarlet Creative for our new office, it’s got great windows for pics so I couldn’t resist firing one off. Love the lights through the blinds. When I was growing up, if I woke up tired, grumpy or out of sorts and complained that I didn’t want to get up and go to school, my mom would say, “Well, you better wear a wake up outfit, then, hadn’t you?” A “wake up outfit” was anything with bright, cheery colors or prints, clothes that could make you smile when you look at it. I’m all grown up. My mother is gone, but on a gloomy, grumpy morning, I will still turn to clothing to lift my mood. I put this on as a sort of prophylactic outfit, hoping to stay up for a good portion of my friend Maht’s mahrathon for Heifer International. Of course, my computer did not cooperate, crashing constantly, so all it’s wake up powers went untested.
I was in a bit of a rush this morning so first of all, I was in a dither. I had the new hair from D!VA which is PRECIOUS at Collabor88 except, for some reason this one just doesn’t suit my face. D!VA makes PRECIOUS hair, and it’s exactly the sort of hair I WANTED so, I dug out a style from a month or two ago. VOILA.

Purple Moon sought retro inspiration for Vintage Fair in the classic little wool suits of Coco Chanel drawing on the familiar Chanel motifs – richly texture boucle wool fabric in classic colors and prints, piping on the seams that emphasize the structure and fit, and easy elegance. Aptly naming her suits Jackie after the woman who popularized the look in America, she featured two dramatic looks for Vintage Fair.
People sometimes use the expression “I’ll eat my hat” to indicate disbelief or improbability. “If that horse wins, I’ll eat my hat.” or “I’ll eat my hat if she’s telling the truth.” The assumption is that the bet is safe and no one will be eating a hat soon. But you know, some hats do look good enough to eat – like this one from Bliensen & MaiTai. I decided to wear it, not eat it, because I love how it looks with this fabulous mesh dress from Kunglers.
There are so many reasons to love the Gisele dress from Kunglers. The sheath dress is always a flattering cut and the deep notched neckline adds a hint of sexiness. Most exciting, though, are the fabulous leaves that were painted on. Kunglers hallmark look is combining organic inspiration from their native South American flora with high fashion design. This dress is instantly recognizable as theirs.

I really wanted you to see all sides of the short cuts, especially the ones from MADesigns with the intricate fade cuts on the tattoo layer. MADesigns tattoo layers are modifiable. You receive a single one that you color to match your hair. All of these cuts are at Hair Fair and a portion of every hair sold goes to Wigs for Kids. I have included several men’s styles that seem to work well for women as well.
