The end is here! It’s the final week of the Raid Your Closet Challenge (yes, I’m a couple days early for once).
For this final look, I’m featuring an item (the purse) from one of my all-time favorite stores, Celestial Studios. OMG I MISS IT! Celestial Studios and ETD (now Elikatira) were the stores where I purchased my first nice items, and they’ll always be special to me for that reason. They were the stores that made me realize there were actually fashionable items on the grid, and oh what a happy moment that was! It still makes me smile to remember those early days of shopping in Second Life, and how each day seemed filled with discoveries. Doing this challenge has brought back a lot of happy memories – thank you for starting it, Lucie!

I decided that since it was Halloween and I have a wee little baby that I bought a costume for, that it’d be fun to explore SILENT’s Trick or Treat neighborhood that is set up! It’s a great build with lots of houses.
Each house has a little NPC type thing that comes out and gives you a candy! It’s really cute, and so much details was put into each house. Continue reading

These adorable plush crows are from ~silentsparrow~ for FLF. There’s a version that sits upon one’s head, but my little avatar is too small for that today! I’m wearing Katat0nik’s Tiny Nurse Doll avatar. The cool thing about the avatar is that it automatically resizes skin, eyes, hair, and eyelashes, so that you can put on whatever you want, easily! (I styled mine vaguely gothy, of course.)

When I unpacked the gorgeous vintage-styled Vale dress from Donna Flora, I knew I wanted to style myself completely in black and white. A noir avatar in a pixel world. The effect was a fun combination of chic and shriek that had me heading to Silent’s haunted house for some pictures. The dress is a classic fitted bodice with a tulip skirt. Its most vintage elements come from the bolero jacket with the wide rounded lapels and the puffed shoulders. The floral corsage pin adds a bit more retro styling.
I adore this set of eyeball jewelry from Schadenfreude. I’m showing the hair bow and necklace, and there’s also a set of earrings and bracelets. The dress is one of the new 49L mesh Halloween dresses from Plastik — there are a ton of cheap things to choose from at Plastik this holiday, and it’s worth a look!
