Head to Toe, Mesh is the Word
I was not excited about the advent of mesh, fearful that new technology would mean new reasons to crash and new problems to solve. In part that is true, there are new fitting problems. In order to fit the mesh to your shape, you do have to make the central core of your shape conform to a range of standard sizes. In exchange, though, you do not have to fit five separate sculpts to your shape, then edit them every time you change your pose. FaMESHed is a monthly sales event that has formed to celebrate the glory of mesh and this second month is even more exciting than the first. By the way, look at the wide sleeve of the top, lines so it does not disappear, it is far superior to the melting flesh that lines a bell-shaped system sleeve.
Goth Bride
Hiiii! 🙂
Aliza Karu from AD Creations is participating in the RMK Gothic Bridal Fair with amazing outfits which, obviously, are not ordinary bridal outfits and that’s one of the reasons i like them. The other reason is that Aliza did it again, she surprised me with her never-ending creativity and great skills, so here i am virtually bowing to her. A dark, goth bow, of course 😛
Let me show you some coolness.

It’s A Matter Of Trust

Shocking! Culture Shock is coming to an end
Tomorrow is the last day of Culture Shock and time is running out for you to save lives by spending your lindens on fabulous fashions. I know buying a dress at Culture Shock rather than somewhere else seems a pittance, but your lindens make a difference. Your purchase of this dress buys the antibiotics to treat 3 children with pneumonia. The skin or the jewelry will buy vaccination against meningitis for 10 years! You see, many of the things that can save lives are relatively inexpensive, but it’s getting them to where they are needed that makes all the difference. That is what makes Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders so very important. Unlike many other aid organizations, they have no affiliation with any government, ideology or religion and have no agenda beyond providing the health care that saves lives where it’s most needed. This means they are uniquely trusted and able to operate in places where others are not welcome.
With projects in over 60 countries, MSF is saving lives not only around the world but here at home, wherever home may be. We like to think we are secure and isolated from the ravages of famine, disease and hunger but illness is infectious. No man is an island, particularly when it comes to viruses. People who are not motivated to support good health care for everyone out of a belief in access to health care as a human right, should be motivated by self-interest and the need to combat diseases before they become international epidemics.
Beautiful
Hello 🙂
The new bridal collection from Miamai is pure awesomeness. It really is.
And one of the things i like the most about it is that you don’t have to get married to wear those fabulous dresses. Yay! I mean, they’re not ordinary wedding dresses, so you only have to pick the colour you prefer and, well, wear the dress!
Areanne in oyster colour is my fav. It’s made of grace. And when i wore it with the Glam Affair Giselle skin from the Sent to Destroy pack, available at Culture Shock, i was shocked, indeed, ’cause together they…..shine!
Make Things Happen
I saw this graffiti on a building while I was wandering around Tobacco Road and absolutely had to take pictures. It’s my mantra. Sometimes I have 15 solutions before the problem is even defined, but yes, I like to make things happen. Blogging Second Life is an example of that. So is Second Sites. Blogging Second Life is a site I started with Evelyn Hartson, combining compendia of blogs, stores and creators directories and a database of bloggers who accept review copies. Second Sites is a sim travel blog that allows all of you to upload your own SL travel pictures to and help build a resource for picture-taking.

Mixing Mesh
In my quest to find mixable mesh, I have found a few allies. Two of them, Eboni Khan of Hucci and Drinkenstein Sorbet of The Sea Hole, are featured in today’s post. What makes them an ally? Producing tops and skirts as separates so I can experiment with them in different looks beside the singular one they envision. This gives me the movement and texture depth and resolution of mesh and the flexibility and creativity in styling of system clothing – the best of both worlds.
Prepare to Be Amazed
The Magician’s Assistant is not only a fabulous book by Ann Patchett, but an occupation you can explore in Second Life. Most magician’s assistants wear showgirl costumes with bodysuits, sequins and fishnets, but I went for a more practical and elegant solution with a gorgeous, low-cut jumpsuit from R.icielli for Culture Shock. Part of the role of a good magician’s assistant is to draw the eye, and with this much cleavage, the eyes will be drawn.
