I have a confession. This shoot started with the jewelry. Anytime there is new jewelry at Donna Flora I’m pretty much in love and stoned on girly goodness to such a point that it’s difficult for me to actually MAKE blogging decisions. But I struggled through my joy and decided it was a purple and yellow moment for me today.
But then, where to shoot?
I was really, really in love with what I had on and decided to pull out Cajsa’s big list of In World Photo Sites and well, I just picked some place RANDOM.

Cyber Geisha – More Than a Web Cam Girl…

That’s right. Cyber Geisha is a spoiled digital girl. As soon as I saw her at the Another Fundraiser 2 event I knew she was a girl after my own heart, and she had to be mine.

If you haven’t been/heard of the event yet, this is a fantastic fundraiser which is benefiting the Red Cross Relief for Japan. In love with fabrics

Today’s outfit highlights two items that are so artfully done you can feel the fabric against your avatar. The top is from Gizza, a lovely sheer chiffon with beautiful puffy sleeves and a ruffle. The pants are from Studio Sidhe and I have worn them before. I have had them some time now and still love their linen loveliness. Far superior to real life linen, Second Life® linen does not wrinkle and its little nubbins don’t ever get itchy either, giving you the cool, crisp elegant look of linen without the bother. I love linen, but it’s a bother.

I snapped the pics in a little nook in the river canyon at Dark Moon. It’s a beautiful sim and this pic does not show off any of its highlights such as floating pods of coleus and such. However, the flowers were so beautiful, I opted for their simplicity.

Sea Shepherdess

I wouldn’t be a very good shepherdess. First of all because sheep stink to hell. I used to spend time in the winter in far northern Minnesota with my cousins, who had a huge sheep farm. It would be freezing cold like nothing I’ve ever known. My cousins would put fireplace warmed bricks at the feet of our beds, wrapped in towels, to keep our feet warm and warm up the sheets. Idiosyncrasy Ella

I am not sure how this affected this post, but in the interests of full disclosure, all the photos were shot, cropped and edited while I was laying down sharing a pillow with my cat who purred loudly in my ears while he watched me work. There’s something so relaxing about a purring cat, but that doubles down when they are laying so close you can feel every rumble of their purr. Of course, there was also the delight of discovering the fun new makeups in this lovely new Ella skin from Idiosyncrasy for Vanity Universe Skin Fair. I really was in a good place.

Ella is a gorgeous skin from Ashia Tomsen of Idiosyncrasy. It comes in three shades, Pale, Medium and Dark. I think I was purrfectly neglectful and forgot to shoot a pic of the dark tone, but you can see it on her Flickr photostream. I am showing off the lovely Kim lingerie from Baiastice and the fun flats from Periquita. The many fun makeup options and lip tattoos are after the cut.

Vanity Universe Skin Fair got off to a busy start – with a full sim of excited skin shoppers delighting in the new releases and swimming in a sea of demos. PXL Creations newest release for the Fair is Linda Gen3. Hart Larsson released it before the Fair, so many of you may have seen it. I was sick, though, and only got to unpack it until Sunday. I had to blog it even though it’s been blogged several times because it’s such a beautiful and elegant skin. It’s exactly the sort of skin I love, luminous and elegant with many options to allow us to get the exact look we want.

It’s not just the elegant makeups that make me fall in love with PXL Creations skins, it’s the soft and tender sexiness of the body. The tummy and the derriere are delightfully sexy. It's ONLY…SKIN FAIR!!!

Through the skins we choose we define who we are. Or, who we are on that day. When I joined the Grid four years ago I had two skins which I wore for over a year.
Thankfully, those days are over and now we’re chameleons who change our colors like we change our minds. Just like in real life, we can paint on a different face to show you the version of beautiful we want to be today.
I thought I’d kick off with a boutique skin from IDIOSYNCRASY which is owned by Ashia Tomsen.
Ashia is a long time resident of the grid as well and one of the loveliest people I’ve ever interacted with. She’s released ELLA for the skin fair so I thought I’d share with you some of the beautiful makeup options available to personalize this release to your taste.
