I was getting read to shoot this outfit when Gidge and I went shopping. After a bit of a spree, we headed over to Collabor88. Now I thought I had put together a pretty good outfit, but I had that affirmed with a massive compliment when out of the blue a total stranger asked if she could shoot my look for her blog. Of course I said yes! I still hadn’t settled on earrings yet, but I was close to done.
Monica Outlander’s Black Label collection for her dazzling Spleen and Ideasm show is full of stunning and amazing outfits. The range in mood from the outrageously avant garde to the sedately regal. The Indrith gown is one of the most regal gowns in the collection with its rich colors, its fleur-de-lis textures and its massive panniers that give it majesty.
A dress of this scale deserves a setting that is also majestic – like ChouChou V – Memento Mori with a staircase made for long gowns.

Mr. Gausman of Rivier Couture sent me a little thank you for blogging awhile back. I say Mr. Gausman because he is always so formal and proper when he sends an IM that I feel I must respond in kind. Now, how that formal and proper man comes up with the hot and sexy clothing he makes is a conundrum, but then still waters do run deep, as they say. Thankfully, I do not have to resolve that enigma to enjoy the sizzling hot fashion from his house. This dress is MISTRESS and really, you should think of it as a suite. It comes with a jacket that really transforms its look, the colored shirt lies under lace and can be switched out with other colors or with a sheer black for more intimate settings. Or well, for those who are comfortable showing nipples in public, too.
The halter top has a lace back and lovely lace flourish at the neck. The cuffsare actually from Draconic Kiss but with the belted definition of the torso, the revers a lacet cuffs are just too perfect for words.

Now, toss in Digit Darkes tulle skirt while keeping the short Elise skirt as an overskirt/ruffle and get some real elegance. The DD tulle skirt should be in every wardrobe as it seems to go with anything.
