JUMO has released an amazing gown. It’s an entire outfit, really, with shoes, cushion engagement rings, jewelry and the works, but I like to mix and match and showcase different ways to wear things, so even though an outfit is lovely, I seldom wear it right out of the box. Part of the joy and purpose of blogging is showing how clothing is more versatile that it first appears, mixing it with other items as I have here – adding this jacket from Peqe, for example, mainly because I prefer a shrug or jacket over something strapless. That beautiful sideswept hair is from Wasabi Pills.
Wearing a ballgown can sometimes be a balancing act even when you are not on a tightrope. After all, the overall zeitgeist of SL fashion has become more informal with ever passing year. I don’t care, though, I love formal gowns – in my first and my second lives. Sadly I cannot afford so many in my first. This gown comes with several alternatives including the sheer lace attachment that covers its entirety as well as option flexi skirts that add fullness and flow to the skirt. They come in gold or a deep rose red.
The sheer lace overdress may be a bit polarizing. It does not bling, but there is some script I think that makes the texture seem to sparkle. I wore it this morning and got rave compliments on one hand, but also an IM asking if there was some glitch because “it looks like it’s tuned to a channel that has no reception. It’s off the air.” 
However, it is an add on, so it can be left off – which gives you an equally brilliant gown. That peacock is a pet, by the way and follows voice commands. I sent him to his perch so I quit knocking him in the head with my dress as he followed me about. He sat there and would occasionally fan his plumage. Such a lovely boy.
By the way, speaking of bird, do you not just love this flying bird ring from Swallow? It’s at The Arcade and not to be missed. Alaskametro released these new nails and I swear I could not have found a better complement to this gown if I had commissioned one to be made for it.

My makeup features Glam Affair’s skin for the Karin head from Lelutka with some additional makeup from Adam & Eve on the eyes and lips.

Ignore that weird red thing in my pictures. What the hell is that? I don’t actually know and honestly – it’s irrelevant to what I’m on about today. I’m not fixing it, because there are three other things in this pic I’d change if I could and I’m also not gonna edit them. Maybe it’s a ghost. An SL ghost. Yeah, that’s it. OK – back to what i AM on about.
So I’m sitting on three extra Tres Jolie Makeup bags. I’ve been wondering what I should do with them. I’m a big old school about Gacha. I love it. I remember the glee of running up and down the row at Albero pulling and just being giddy about whatever you got. I remember grabbing a bunch of random stuff and making blog posts. It was fun. It was joyous.
I feel that same glee with the Arcade. I LOVE pulling to complete sets, scouring yard sales for things I really want. The joy of the hunt SUCKS me in. I probably dropped more at Arcade this time than ever and NO REGRETS. It’s really one of my favorite things.
But I always get, I dunno, a bit of a twinge when I see rares out for sale insanely over priced. I mean, I guess sure if you can get it. But it doesn’t feel right to me. So I’ve been thinking since I had these and they’re lovely I wanted to do something with them and I didn’t know what.

VCO has skin and a cute pouty lip mouth in The Arcade this round. I didn’t have any trouble with this mouth, in terms of making it look right. I’ve heard feeback from some mouths out there that you have to PS them a bit to make them look right. I simply used the resize option built into it to enlarge it a bit and adjusted it on my face to the right spot.

Living in the south in RL I appreciate the value of cooking out, we’re all about it down here. Now BBQ in the south isn’t the same as grilling, which is what I’m doing above. Arcade June 2015 has once again proven to me that the creators at The Arcade KNOW me. They really really know me. They know I’m messy. They know I have too much make up and I’m not ashamed. They know, I have a lot of little bottles of things sitting around. And they love me for it.
I’m pausing as I absorb the amazing things available this round and trying to decide if I need to move house or how many more little things I can possibly shove into my house. I have to remodel my bath. That’s just got to happen.
