Giz Seom of Gizza has produced a trio of gorgeous baroque outfits with gorgeous lace blouses and sexy pencil skirts. Never afraid to shy away from mixing prints, the lace of the skirt works beautifully with the quilted waist and the rich brocade skirt. The lovely bit of chrysanthemum at the collar give it a perfect touch of Old World aesthetics while the sheer blouse and matching visible bra makes it fully modern.

Tweed and Layers
There’s a bite in the air and it’s time for the rich, warm fabrics of autumn. The wools, tweeds, knits that layer beautifully to keep us warm and cozy. This fabulous tweed dress from Fanatik can be found at the October FaMESHed showcase.
I wanted a bit of extra warmth with the bare shoulders, so I added a poncho from PrettyMoonS. PrettyMoons is a new store to me, one I found searching on Marketplace for red outerwear that would coordinate with the bold belt on the dress.

Drifting
There’s a new dress at Drift with a very modern form – broad, structured shoulders with simple details that draw the eye.
Fields of Flowers
Monica Outlander has been in a design frenzy lately – releasing a huge collection of formals just as the month of fashion draws to a close. While Spring fashions have been strutting the runways of New York, London, Paris and Milan, Second Life designers keep their designs closer to real time and the real seasons, but there’s an element of spring in this one dress from MiaMai with its glorious floral abundance. While her collection includes some fabulous mesh gloves that are full or quarter length, for this dress she provided gloves with the dress in the same fabric for a bold floral push.
VoguE at Borobudur
I missed the BOSL VoguE fashion show earlier this month – since my computer is hating groups of more than 3 people – I am missing all the shows. Still, I saw the collection on the VoguE web site and am in love with the bright, colorful exuberance. The collection is being released for sale one by one over several weeks for those of us who missed the post-show sale and one of my favorites from the collection was released this week. Is this just not a festival for your eyes?
Comfort
Autumn is the time for layers and layers of knits and wools and cuddling up warm and cozy or running through the woods kicking the leaves up into the air. The secret to comfort in the fall is layering so that you can take something off while in a heated room or in the heat of the sun and put it back on when the sun hides behind a cloud. In this outfit, I layered a cozy thermal knit top from Sakide with a short wool jacket from VoguE. I have that top in every color and only wish there were more colors of it – one of my favorite wardrobe basic of all time. The jacket is part of an outfit from Vogue that comes with pants, gloves, top, the works, but there’s no reason not to pull out the pieces to mix and match with something else. I blogged the jacket about a year ago with the gloves. It’s one of those striking pieces that work well with others.
Vive la Rouge
Starting today at 3 PM, there will be a weekend fundraising party to keep Rouge, that amazing red woman, alive and well and a destination spot on the grid. Rouge is not just the home sim for Codebastard Redgrave, or Codie, but it’s also a wonderful terraformed sculpture and a fabulous venue for events. Codie has been generous over the years, allowing folks to have parties and events at her club for no charge and over time a wonderful community of people have come to think of Rouge as a home away from home.
Many of those people are going to do their best to save Rouge with DJ’ed parties on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and by donating fun rouge items whose proceeds go to support Rouge. For example, the poses used in this post are all I poses by Status and all proceeds go to the support of Rouge sim. For complete details about the event, see here.
All Gamblers & Fancy Women Must Sign Up with the Captain
Gacha gambling is one of those Second Life® joys that are widely shared and deeply felt. Folks love to try their luck and the follow up with trading and garage sales while they strive to collect the entire set of this hamster or that spice or those shoes. To explore various casino games and earn extra cash, you may look for slot online websites. We recommend https://ojocasino.ca!
PXL Creations is joining the Gacha craze with sixteen skins; eight for men and eight for women. The women’s skins are based on Gaia, a wonderful skin that I often wear. The men’s skins are based on PXL Creation’s Daniel.
Under the Hood: The Debug Settings
It’s not that every conversation in Second Life turns to Debug Settings, but every conversation about Debug Settings draws everyone’s attention. It’s like getting a car and poking around under the hood, we are afraid to experiment. We pay attention and take notes, and try to remember the tips that are shared. I have collected a fair number of tips and arrange them in reference to why you might use them.
For a comprehensive list of Debug Settings, check out the Second Life Wiki. Berry did a recent post featuring her favorite Debug Settings. If you have more debug tips, please add them in comments. I would love to add them to this list.
Update: Lette Ponnier wrote a response providing some context and clarification about how some of these settings can reduce performance. I agree, when I am not taking pictures, I change many back to default since I don’t need that level of detail anymore. I had thought that the categories provided enough context to make that clear, but value her clarification.

It’s 3PM So It Must Be Zenith
Chic Management’s new monthly showcase FAIR has a clever organizing framework. Each monthly showcase is limited to twelve designers each of whom are assigned an hour of the day to serve as their inspiration. It’s a lovely conceit and for many of the items, I could see how the time of day inspired their design immediately. It is fun to walk the clock and try to figure out if I can follow their train of thought. Some were less successful than others are making an obvious connection to their time of day, but I like the challenge and seeing their efforts to meet it.
Miffyhoi Rosca of Zenith was assigned 3 PM and coincidentally, I am typing this very sentence at 3:01 PM. I can’t quite make the connection between the time of day and the off-shoulder sweater, but I certainly can make a connection to the sweater. It comes in three colors and also has matching socks that I did not put on. It’s comfy and cozy and so chic at the same time.
