Soooo, if you are a giant hobag have I got a lot of goodies for you!!! Just kidding (about the hobag part). But seriously, The Festival of Sin is going on (where I was hit on my a noobie linden with a giant penor) and the Whore Couture Event is coming up starting March 1st and will last until the 31st. So, below I’ve mixed and matched items from both events. Enjoy!
ChouChou has returned for a short time and I popped over to check it out. I opted to adopt their region windlight settings to see it as they wanted it to be seen. It sure is dramatic, though you cannot see my outfit. I wandered around and then noticed that their other sims were open, too, so I popped over to Babel.
Babel is also very dramatic with a seemingly never-ending stairway with lots of boxes – each with a short measure of music that affects the play of music as you climb the stairs. This is a sim that you simply must have your sound turned up so you can experience it at its best. I was wearing a sweater from Diapop for Back 2 Black – the awareness campaign for mental health issues. This sweater focuses on comfort and it really is a comfy sweater, isn’t it?

My beloved friends Kesseret, Cajsa and Codebastard Redgrave threw me an epic rezz day party last night at Rouge that went on till nigh 4am time. Truly it was way past three when I crawled into my bed. I would venture that nearly all of the people I love came and it was such an amazing surprise, I can’t say THANK YOU to you guys ENOUGH. It is making me smile even now – and I can’t remember the last time I laughed that hard in SL.
You guys are amazing friends.
So, what do you wear to a surprise Rezz day party? Well – I wore that pink dress above from Sascha’s Designs! I’m starting to have a crush on Butterfly Effect Design, the outfit I’m wearing called Elena goes perfectly with this new hair from Lamb. Black and White hair TOGETHER…it doesn’t get any better than this…at least for me it doesn’t. Oh, the outfit is only 99L promo price on the marketplace and it comes with everything you see pictured.
Growing up in the Minnesota Northwoods, Mardi Gras was not something I paid much attention to. I had Catholic friends and knew all about Ash Wednesday, but there were never any big parties the night before. Can you imagine Marge and Norm Gunderson or Jerry Lundegaard dancing down the street while jazz was played by live musicians? Can you imagine live musicians marching down any street in Minnesota playing something other then Minnesota, Hail to Thee or the localized version of On Wisconsin? It’s not that there were no Catholics in the Northwoods, but they were Scandinavian Catholics which made them act more like Lutherans anyway. It worked the same with the Baptists like my family. You may see lots of movies with those Baptist gospel choirs and dancing in the pews, but not the Scandinavian Baptists. They might sing gospel songs, but with all the fervor of Sheldon Cooper. So, any interest in Mardi Gras would have been anthropological – an examination of the rites and practices of some foreign country, like Louisiana.
