June 12th, 2021 – Vintage and chic

I have to say, this year’s Vintage Fair is particularly good. Look at this glorious Jackie dress from Tres Beau. It comes with the stockings, shoes, gloves and even a pill box hat (not shown), for both Slink and Maitreya bodies.

I matched it with the Esme set from RIse Designs, which includes a necklace, earrings and a monocle (both for left and right eye). You’ll find a picture of the set’s ad at the bottom of this post, after the credits, with all the HUD controlled textures and colours.

Euphoric makes beautiful eyes, and the ones at the fair are no exceptions. So pretty in fact that I’m wearing them instead of my usual go to, home made brand. Just see for yourself :

This close-up also allows me to show you the gorgeous eye-make up from Shiny Stuffs, as well as the Esme monocle.

It All Comes Together at Relay Weekend

rfl-2014

There have been Relay for Life fundraising events going on for several months now and they will all come together in the annual culmination of Relay season with Relay Weekend. Relay Weekend kicks off with an Opening Ceremony at 10 A.M. SLT on the 19th and continues for 24 hours as folks walk the 40 sim track. The walk continues for 24 hours because cancer never sleeps and neither can the efforts to prevent, treat and cure cancer.

Fashion For Life has a campsite along the Relay track. Grace Loudon who brilliantly organized the Fashion For Life builds created this build while also heading the team of builders and build organizers for the forty sims for this weekend. With bolts of fabric, dressmaker forms, scissors, thread and other sewing notions, this build emphasizes the FASHION in Fashion For Life.  Continue reading

This Ship of State & a gift for readers

jun11_005

Do you sometimes want a gown so rich and full and extravagant you feel as though you are the figurehead on some elegant ship of state? If so, the ‘Heartache’ gown by Tres Beau at Fashion for Life. With rich saturated colors and a gorgeous corset, it demands some dramatic photos. I ended up making a smaller pinpoint projector texture that I will add to the bottom of this post so you can download it for your own photos. Continue reading

A Twofer as Time Is Running Out

This is Nyte’n’Day’s lovely RFL Clothing Fair dress – worn with Alyssa Bijou’s Firenze jewelry set also for RFL I love the sleek and graceful dress but wish the jewelry came with instructions to turn off the sparkle. It’s not obnoxious bling, but I still wanted to turn it off so I could more fully enjoy the lovely sprays of diamonds.

This is Tres Beau’s incredible Amethyst gown for RFL Clothing Fair paired with Dahlinks Czarina set for RFL. The gown is amazing – and comes with two sets of prims – those with and without sparkle. I tossed the ones with sparkle because I know me and will never wear that, but the sparkle-free is just amazing!

C'est Si Bon

The Cherish dress from Tres Beau that I found at the Clothing Fair is a wow! Since the store is French in name – I thought of the song “C’est Si Bon”  with the oh-so-appropriate lines: ” With big Cadillac cars/Mink coats – jewels/As big as your fist – you know?” was a perfect choice. The necklace from Yabusaka for the Accessory Fair is not as big as your first, but I love the style – and the contemporary to traditional contrast of the jewelry and the dress.

Now, who can turn down the opportunity to listen to Eartha?
