Ski Trip!

posted by Gidge Uriza

Now you may be saying to yourself…..”Ummm, Gidge, you can’t ski in that…..”

And I know this, but this super cute sweater from Izumiya put me in mind of ski trips from my past. Trips with friends, where you’d buy the coolest sweaters you could find for those evenings in the lodge, sipping mulled wine and talking about the powder.

And then here’s my confession. Continue reading

Dirndl Delicious

This is one of my favorite dresses. I usually pull it out when cooler weather comes because of the fur collar, but the light airy skirt really speaks more to a warmer climate. Maybe it’s warm days – cool nights gown. Let’s play guess the designer. Ready?

This comes with three different color “jackets” which are the waist cincher. It comes with two different color tops plus two different fur collars, AND it comes with hose. Because of the great layer options, you can actually wear this dress a lot of different ways, which is typical of this designer – as are the colors included in the pack.

No guesses? None? Really!?

It’s Bare Rose.

Just when you thought Bare Rose was only for Gothic-Armored-Yukata Wearing-Post Apocalyptic-Vampire-Fairy-Cowboys, you find some other gems on the walls. Some of my favorite pieces I own from Bare Rose came from lonely nights on The Grid, just chilling out looking vendor by vendor at Bare Rose just to see what June has. After all, with SO much for sale – it’s hard to really know WHAT your options are. Continue reading

Sweater Weather Approacheth!

Sweaters, ladies. Sweater weather is coming. Yes you heard me. Labor Day is coming in the US which means we’ll be packing up our whites and our linen, and pulling out sweaters, tweeds and wool. Which makes this a perfect time to show off what I recently picked up at Stitchy by Stitch.

I like to check out the occasional art gallery and I’ve heard about Quadrapop Tree forever and never made it over. While I missed the grand opening of their sim, I managed to eek out some exploring time one afternoon recently and this little ensemble made the cut for the day.  Slinking around the mysterious modern landscape and taking in the wonderful pieces, this was a nice casual choice for such a nice open sim. You Better THINK!

I ran over to Lemania when I got a notice she had a new dollarbie out – after how spectacular the FIREWORKS dress was I knew she’d cooked up something fantastic.

In honor of PAHFEST coming to Second Life she’s created a MOTOWN series and this one she set out in her celebration hall for a linden. I was totally channeling my inner Aretha as I strutted around in this sexy little number.  Lemania has a notecard giver out at her location with all of the details of the SL version of Pahfest, concert line up etc!  So check it out – because it’s going to be a fun live event!
