If you have been under a rock, then you don’t know that the I <3 Rouge event is kicking off at 3pm SLT and it’s going to be spectacular. The saviest shoppers are already hitting the sim, knowing that once the DJs hit the floor it’s gonna be a packed house and you don’t want to miss out on any of these items, especially since some are exclusives JUST for this event. Cartoon Friends In a Cartoon World
I couldn’t resist checking out LEA13 between Honour McMillan’s post and Cajsa already being there and insisting that it was amazing. I wasn’t prepared for the stark beauty or the enchanting whimsy the place would inspire. Cajsa loved it so much she sent some blasts that people should come join us.
Our friend Hart Larsson of PXL Creations did just that!
Hart must’ve found it to be as playful and fun as we did, because he lead a bout of random dancing that must’ve gone on for nearly 45 minutes. Continue reading
Monday Morning Rain Is Falling…
You’ve caught me before I’ve sorted out what to wear today. It’s not even 8am, though, so really, I think you’re early rather than I’m late. Continue reading

3379
This is the 3379th post at It’s Only Fashion – they do add up, don’t they? Why did I point that out? Mainly because I could not think of anything to organize this post around. I thought about writing about the effing brilliant Olympic Opening Ceremony – a democracy’s response to the despotic precision of China – but that doesn’t have anything to do with this outfit. I thought about writing about the ineffable presumption of some folks who are so quick to criticize others (creators, event planners, bloggers and photographers to name a few) and how that drip, drip, drip of negativity wears and erodes the spirit – but that doesn’t have anything to do with this outfit. I thought about writing about the fear of rejection that makes clicking an Add Friend button a fraught exercise in risk analysis – but that doesn’t have anything to do with this outfit either. But – I was wearing this outfit when these topics came up and somehow they came to mind when I started to blog.
I even thought about blogging about the upcoming Vintage Fair. After all, the skirt from Peqe has a vintage flair. The fabulous print jacket is called Vintage and the set is Long Angel’s Vintage Picture Window set. I guess three vintages could make that work, couldn’t it? Even if none of the pieces are at the Vintage Fair? So, yes, Vintage Fair is coming – opening August 4th and running to August 29th. I am excited and know many of you will be, too, but there are only a few peeks and previews on Flickr and elsewhere. I know it will be wonderful, but how wonderful is still a mystery.
SOOOOOON……HAIR FAIR 2012
Hair Fair 2012 is rolling up on us all and fashionistas across the grid have begun their annual flail of joy.
Hair Fair will run July 14th thru July 29th and is a benefit for Wigs for Kids.
I am rolling out my Hair Fair love this year with the new release from MINA which is going to be a favorite with bloggers everywhere because it’s perfect for showing off your earrings. It’s also got a HUD for coloring and highlights which makes me smile in a sort of a mad scientist way.
You can join the Hair Fair Demo’s group so that you can try everything on BEFORE you get to the event, which reduces all the lag and stuff for everyone! Click HERE to join.

Things my father taught me
I have many great memories of my father. I remember him singing and playing banjo, dancing with my mom and telling stories with a twinkle in his eye. I remember his voice and his laughter. One of my strongest and most powerful memories, though, is from a day he made me miserable and angry.
I grew up in the country on the far side of a lake, deep in the woods. It was a 3.5 mile walk to the school bus, though I often shaved some off that by taking deer paths through the woods. That day it was raining and dad offered to give me a ride to the school bus stop. We had gone about a mile when a squirrel ran in front of the car and we could hear a slight thud as it was struck by the car. Dad pulled over to make sure it was dead, but it had run off into the woods.
Justice Denied
I visited Law Day, a project of the SL Bar Association, where many of the current issues that affect the integrity and fairness of the legal system were presented on small signs around the sim devoted to those who love the law. People joke a lot about lawyers, mostly to present the idea that they are all unethical, greedy and parasites on society. In fact, society would not exist as we know it without lawyers. People love to quote Shakespeare’s Henry VI’s famous “First thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.” Of course, most of them think that’s a dig, but the words are spoken by the wannabe tyrant who knows that killing the lawyers is essential to tyranny.
Week 8 – Dark Raspberry (yum)
All I could think about when I was doing this post was vanilla greek yogurt with fresh raspberries over the top… wonder why? Now I know what to add to my grocery list tomorrow. Your shopping list will be much simpler and cheaper…..

Early On a Sunday Morning
I do not understand why my cat thinks I have to wake up when he wakes up, but he is so insistent, rubbing his face on mine and meowing over and over and over until I get up. Unfortunately, he woke up at 3:45 this morning. I have tried to go back to sleep a few times, but without any luck. So, bleary-eyed and grumpy I logged into Second Life hoping to get cheered up. And of course, i was! The first step in the process of turning my frown upside down was putting on this romantic Beryl Dress from Nzuri. It’s a beautifully done empire waisted dress with a lovely pink skirt and floral bodice. The belt at the bodice is a great detail that elevates the dress out of the ordinary.
