This Post Is For Gogo

Why do I have a condom in my mouth? I don’t know. Why do half the people with stuff stuck in their mouths on the grid have stuff stuck in their mouths? I figured since BOOM went to the trouble of creating RUBBER mouthies (that’s my name for them, i’m calling them mouthies) that it was pretty damn funny. So I should go over and play their gatcha and get one

Maybe I should call them MOUTH HANGIES. Mouthies or Mouth Hangies? Please vote in comments.

In other news – my husband fixed my viewer problems. Continue reading

Back to Mysterious Wave

may17_011

I had such a hard time finding a place to shoot photo pics last night. I ran around all over the place but I must have been bringing the Three Bears along with me because this sim was too hot and that sim was too cold and this sim was too soft and that sim was too hard. I seldom get in that nothing suits me mood and hate it because it really is me, not the sims that is out of sorts. I finally ended up at Mysterious Wave which has something for every bear with its many different exhibits.

On the clothing front, though, I was pleased with everything. I started the outfit out with the gauntlets. And therein lies a story. The other day I was browsing through some clothing and fashion sites and drooling over real life clothes and posted a plurkload of “please make these in SL” clothing porn. Imagine my delight when shortly after Tracy Rubble of Nzuri dropped me off one of items I had been lusting after – black gauntlets with dainty bows at the wrist. I love the combination of edgy goth gauntlets with the feminine detail of the bows. So thanks so much Tracy. I love my gauntlets. And guess what? She names them Cajsa Gauntlets. /me swoons!

Damn, My Skirt Got Wet

may13a_029

I went over to see the Worldview of Crie Style – a newly designed and really gorgeous installation at Crie Style and really should not have worn this long gown. It’s Nereide from the new collection at Baiastice of gowns named after dryads and nymphs. My first time wearing it and I soaked the hem.

Especially when Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice provided three options for the skirt including this mini.

The sim was so beautiful, though, it knocked all those practical considerations out of my head.

Quick Look: DDStyle for Couture of Hope

may13a_005
I had an adventurous day, making my first trip to the grocery store in over six months. Even though my friend did all the work and I just drove one of those electric go-carts, it still wore me out so this is a quick, short post with not much more than pictures.

House of Dashwood for Couture of Hope

may06_022

The Avenue Couture of Hope fundraiser for Relay For Life is chock full of beautiful designs – which is fitting since hope is a beautiful thing. I particularly love the bodice on this gorgeous dress from House of Dashwood. Appropriately named Serapina after the angels, it’s a lovely and angelic white dress with lovely flowing tulle panels that bring to mind the wings of the seraphim.

Last Chance for DISCO DEALS – And The Dress I Bought Bcse of REBAKE!

Celebrity Trollop’s latest endeavor REBAKE is a weekly fashion newsletter that is chock full of styling and fashion news, plus a look of the week. I fell in love with this dress from the latest issue and lucky, the REBAKE editors always give you slurl and marketplace info so buying it was a snap.

I love the format vs. magazines with their hurky jurky interfaces and weird navigation. It comes to my inbox and is truly something I look forward to at the end of every week. Sales, fashion events and news and lots of other goodness are packed into every issue. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re missing it! SIGN UP HERE!

There is still time, btw, those of you who LOVE Kokeshi dolls to pick up this set from DISCO DEALS. For only 99L you get a set that are tiny (see below) who float around on the water fishing. They’d be really cute if you had a pond on your parcel

You also get a larger pair, that would still be cute on a pond, I wish I had a pond on my main parcel where my house is, I love these. Continue reading

I Gacha Culture Shock Right Here

Innocently checking my transaction history one day – I saw on the Events Calendar – THE MONKEY MORALITY EXHIBIT.

Summer Days

apr26_013

It’s not summer in real life yet, but in Second Life it’s always summer (or winter, fall or spring) when you want summer. When I saw these adorable shorts from Zaara I knew I wanted to take a spin out on the Linden Ocean and luckily the new MiaMai top for Culture Shock was a great option to wear with the shorts.

apr26_001

On my second or third day in Second Life, I went to Enkythings and bought this old boat for one linden. It is one of my favorite purchases. I have taken it out and boated around the Linden Ocean since the beginning. My first home was a rental on the Ocean and then I bought 512 at Glookbone in November 2007 and have had land there ever since so I could go boating. There are fancier boats that react to the Linden winds and require you to do more than point, but they’re not for me. I don’t want to have to do much more than point and go there.

On Monday's I'm Very Ingenue

I needed something comfy but gently tailored for my Monday workday so pixel Gidge slipped into this mash up of pieces from Ingenue. Chocolate and pink together has been one of my favorites this past year so I couldn’t resist pairing her mink Katherine pants with this rose colored top. Continue reading

The Robber Brides

The Robber Bride is one of my favorite books by Margaret Atwood, a modern spin on the Brother’s Grim Tale where instead of a male villain – the female takes the role, stealing the loves of three women and binding them together in friendship.

Their dislike of her and the way she spun their lives is the binding force that keeps them together.

My first thought, as Cajsa and I twirled around the store in the demo versions of these gowns, was “Always a bridesmaid never a bride…” But then we travelled to World’s End to shoot and we seemed far more menacing and powerful against the gloom and dark of the build.

Robber Brides. Continue reading
