The #1 way you know that this is some sort of fantasy role play thing is that I’m doing things in a kitchen with pots. I don’t cook. I heat. My oldest child tells me that I make the best spaghettios ever and by GOD I think I do too.
But, the fine people at Le Bistro who have built this big store selling food items to role play family cooking with, or FRIEND COOKING if you don’t have a family, sent me a blogger sample so I thought, heck, I should cook some friends or something. My RL day sucked, but it was made better by pretty fall weather in SL! Three of the items from this outfit are from FLFs past, and I admit that yep, I’m still addicted to FLF. I hope none of the rest of you spent the day in the ER…luckily I was fine :p !

It was absolutely lovely outside today, the perfect mix of cool wind and warm sun. I spent most of my day outside, in RL and SL. There are some beautiful sims that seem autumnal right now, including Zacca, which has some gorgeous Japanese buildings to wander through and very meditative music. I initially came to SL hoping to build a calm and sacred space… and found clothing, of course. But whenever I can find a bit of spiritual peace, I’m always overjoyed. [SLURL to Zacca]

Runway show November 13th, 1pm slt. as Part of Peacefest 2011

BoHo HoBo presents Meena, a runway show and a new shop named Meena, is in honour of the founding member of RAWA, the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan which has been fighting for human rights, democracy and social justice in Afghanistan since 1971. All proceeds from the sales of both Meena, and BoHo HoBo go to RAWA in order to help fund schools, orphanages, clinics and income generating projects for Afghan people.
The style of clothes is ‘Afghanistan Bohemian’. It is a hybrid of traditional Afghan styles and western styles of clothes. Traditional afghan styles have a lot of variety due to the many ethnic groups represented in Afghanistan, as well as it’s historic place on the ancient silk road and the influences of the various cultures that have passed through this desert country. Tajik, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Kuchi nomad, Indian, Turkish and Persian styles are all influencing factors in the style of traditional Afghan clothes and as well in this collection of Afghanistan Bohemian wear.
