Envy, one of the Seven Sins Gacha Skins from PXL Creations.

Noting once again the delicious coincidence of PXL Creations releasing the Seven Sins Gacha skins the same week that Buckcherry released the Seven Sins as part of their Confessions album, I was elated to see then newest release from Shiki featuring a dress called Envy. Seriously, does serendipity get any better than that?

Sometimes I will come across an item in a store that is far out of my comfort zone, but still irresistibly appealing for some reason. That happened when I saw this very revealing and outré bodysuit from Diram. However, appealing as it was, I needed to change it up a bit for me to wear it so I added this adorable mesh skirt from Peqe. I loved how its bold prints contrast with the stripes of the body suit and the interplay of its softness with the bodysuit’s harder lines.

Jackal Ennui has made amazing boots ever since I began playing Second Life ages and ages ago. Her boots were some of the first footwear that I ever bought in Second Life, fighting that “Oh my god I’m spending virtual money on virtual clothing” feeling. (Remember that? Heh.) And now, after so many years, Jackal has made a DRESS. The dress is delicate, with the same glorious texturing that Jackal uses on her shoes, but now applied to this elegantly clean-lined frock. (My whole outfit is here.)

The dress will be out for Zodiac – Pisces on February 19th.

I will be DJ’ing at The Velvet at Noon today – a Rez Day party for a much-loved resident who frequents the club. What is so amazing about him is that he has never said a word. He just beeps or honks the horn of his car avatar, yet manages to communicate approval and welcome. Most of all he communicates joie d’vivre. He joins in events with gusto, finding super-sized sunglasses for his windshield for the beach event and flower for the Valentine’s Day Party. In this chat-centric world we inhabit, his life as a nonverbal communicator is performance art of the highest level. So, he turns 1 today and we wish him the very best and many happy returns.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you, and especially my dear partner Jackal!

In honor of the day I dug out a bunch of macabre, dark things, including this beautiful Corbie outfit from ~silentsparrow~ (one of my all-time favorite outfits from hyasynth), this hair from Hiccup (does anyone remember this shop? It’s long gone now), and these lovely Sugarskull boots from Lassitude & Ennui.

I am wearing something new — it’s my skin and makeup. The skin is a new group gift from Pink Fuel, and the makeup is by Schadenfreude for C88. Love to you today!
