The SL WWC Returns: Let's Kick It Off With "What You Love"

It took me a few days into the New Year to get my head in gear but now I’m ready to face 52 weeks of Word Challenges to stretch my blogging brain.

This weeks words are “What you Love”.

So then, what do you love?

The SL Weekly Words Challenge is a weekly blogger challenge where I pose a word or words and you take that word and depict it with an image. There is no right or wrong way to do this challenge. Pictures can have avatars or not, it’s about what that word means to you.

So feel free to participate. And there is no deadline, no rules, just something to inspire you besides “what shoes go with this?” which is why I created the challenge in the first place. Thanks to you who left me comments asking me to keep going. I needed a kick!

It's Snowing at Baffle

I dressed up for a nice sunny day in this top from u.f.o. and popped over the Baffle beach and was surprised to see that snow had come to Baffle. I would have rushed off to a more comfortable climate for my open-toed Lizettes from Kalnins, but I saw footprints of someone walking barefoot. I had to hang around to see who this intrepid weather warrior was and maybe catch some hot guy running from the sauna to the sea.

take a stroll…

Through the lovely Cafe Adrastea when you have a moment to spare. It’s one of my favorite places to chill. It’s also a really good backdrop for pictures especially when you are wearing cute new mesh goodies from Leezu! This cute oxford dress is a new fav of mine and it comes in 3 different sizes. I bought it on the marketplace and didn’t see a demo but I took a chance and I’m glad I did. No buyers remorse here!

Four Years and Counting, Some Thank You's

It’s Only Fashion will be four years old tomorrow. It all began with this post with me wearing a dress I had worn for Gidge’s New Year’s Eve Party. I didn’t know what I was doing and had no idea how to get someone to actually read my blog. I posted a few times. They were perfectly lovely posts that nobody every read or saw because I had no idea how people got other people to look at their blogs. That is one of the reasons Gidge and I did the Marketing tutorials for Bloggers. There was the World of SL feed but new people were not being added, so I floundered. Then, in April, I heard about IHeartSL – the new feed that welcomed newcomers and inexperienced bloggers with open arms, giving them access and exposure. There are many other feeds and they each have their own particular personality, but IHeartSL will always be the one that opened the door for me. I am sure I am not the only blogger whose entree to the blogging world was facilitated by IHeartSL.  And of course, Gogo has been free with lots of good advice and help over the years as well.  Her generous help to new bloggers has made the community much larger and more open.  Continue reading →

I wish you all a serene but crazy 2012, i hope it will put lots of smiles on your face. My SL 2011 has been much better than my RL one, maybe it’s normal, maybe it’s not, i don’t want to complain but there is at least one thing i wish never happened during this year that is going to end in a few hours.
Anyway, smile! Yes, as i said, may the new year bring you lots of smiles  🙂 And no, not fake smiles! 😛

Alicia Chenaux had a New Year’s Eve EVE party and I had a new outfit so I went over. Between the talk of wieners and what we’re looking for in them (my vote, tasty) it was a great time and so I thought I’d shoot what I wore since you still have time to snatch it up for yourself for a proper NYE party.

I stopped by China the other day and saw a couple TP points I had not noticed before that can take you to the China Boat or the China Square. I decided to take a look at China Square and discovered a modern, urban industrial setting with a touch of futurism. It seemed just perfect for the outfit I was wearing – the Emmanuelle catsuit from Kunglers.

The suit has beautiful lines as the seams contour down the torso and so does China Square. I love the brilliant lighting that creates the mood of a busy city.
