Guest Stylist Amase Levasseur

Amase Levasseur_009.jpg

Amase Levasseur is another volunteer guest stylist. I met her when she came with her partner to get some pictures taken of them and she quickly became a favorite. She is one of those people who is enjoying SL to the fullest – and always willing to come for some fun times. Here’s what she had to say about the guest styling post, “Caj and Gidge among others have encouraged me to do some mixing and matching and playing with accessories to make outfits my own instead of just “off the rack” in both SL and RL. It’s much more fun now to figure out just the right mix to claim or own a look rather than it wearing me!”

Lollipopz and Falling Autumn

posted by Gidge Uriza

It’s no secret that I never like short hair. I mean, I “like” it but I’m always way girly happier in long hair. Until it’s time to shoot it. Luckily, the awesome girls at A-Bomb are just releasing eye makeup on the Tattoo Layer and mmmmmmmm PRETTEH. Continue reading

Fashion Weeks Make Me Happy

sep16_004.jpg

Someone was wondering how many Fashion Weeks there are in SL. I have no idea, but it did make me curious about Fashion Weeks in real life and so I went to the web and discovered there are at least 142 fashion weeks around the world. SL has a ways to go to catch up. Modavia Fashion Week has wrapped up, but the fashions that I found there are still sparkling away in my inventory – and that includes this lovely little dress from Kunglers.

Why the Excitement?

sep14_003.jpg

Every release from Paper Couture is accompanied by an excited frenzy of shopping and blogging the newest finds among their new collection. It’s also accompanied by a chorus of those questioning why there is so much excitement. It’s a good question as there are so many excellent designers in Second Life whose work is not greeted with such a frenzy. Of course, most designer release on a more frequent basis and so by the time a Paper Couture collection is released, there is always some pent-up anticipation, but that alone does not explain their popularity.
