Seeing The Sights

Early Bird_005I woke up early to go and see the sunrise and hopefully get some pretty pics for my walls at the new place. It was gorgeous outside, with lots of wildlife and the fresh air so early in the morning was so bracing but refreshing.

I sat on the beach and watched giant turtles swim and frogs bounce across the landscape.  I  am really glad I decided to spend my weekend here, it’s a great place for a busy pixel girl to relax and enjoy some pretend nature.

As the sun climbed higher I ventured out to the rocks and found this poorly landed plane.  The scenery here is fun and quirky, I admit I am glad I came. I need to make someone come with me next time.

Lazy Days

I am so in love with Hybie’s photo, I hallways don’t want to post and move it from the top of the page. I am lazy today and wanted to wear something comfy and cozy. This fun, loose and comfy top from NYU seems perfect for the day curling up with Anti-Fragile, my current read while marrow bones simmer away, making a rich broth for some risotto. My cat is on my shoulder while I read and I am sure he must have an opinion on the state of the world.

I have an opinion on this top. I love its details that elevate it beyond the t-shirt that it first appears to be. Notice the high cut arm holes, the neat edging on the sleeves and the gorgeous button-down back and lovely sweeping curve of the hem. This is casual, but also chic.

Moss Fairy

I was looking for snowy sims earlier in the week and my friend Charisma sent me over to this fantastic sim called Maleo Isle – Magical Farm. Granted the sim wasn’t snowy anymore but it did not matter, the place is absolutely gorgeous. I knew that I wanted something equally ethereal to wear while shooting photos there.  I was lacking in the fae wear so I went onto the marketplace for new fae goodies. I came across this well made outfit from Shar’s Gowns called Moss Fairy. It comes with Lola Tango’s but Hybie has smallish boobies forever. The best thing about all of Shar’s clothing is that it is super cheap. I got this outfit for like 25L…seriously.

The RiverBecoming a premium member of the Grid is a bit like a time share opportunity. They have these “premium” destinations you can hop off to, for merriment and festivity. Since I’ve always wanted to see what they were like, I decided to pack Sophie off to Auntie Inventory  for the weekend (she loves it there, Aunty Inventory has EVERYTHING) and spend a weekend at The River seeing what all this is.

Six pm. and I heard something scurry, looked left and then right and I began to worry. It had only been 3 weeks since I lived in this house and I was pretty certain that my roommate was a mouse.  I found a hole at the bottom of the wall, peeking in I must have looked 8 feet tall. Like many other fashionistas who have long enjoyed and appreciated Gala Phoenix’s skins, I was thrilled to read that a settlement had been reached and Curio’s doors are open once again. To celebrate, Gala released an entire pack of her skins, with all the makeups and all the tones, to her in-world group. What a generous gift, especially in celebration of what must have been a very frustrating process. I think many people are feeling frustrated. I know I have mixed emotions. My celebration that Curio has returned to the grid is tempered by the very real disappointment that the settlement precludes the storybook verdict and vindication that all the courtroom dramas promise us.

Beep Beep BeepThis has not been the best morning. I just spent twenty minutes running around this Linden neighborhood looking for my cat. WHERE IS MY CAT? She wasn’t in bed with me like she should be. The Kittycats hud won’t find her. WHERE IS MY CAT? And – somehow, in the night, someone has stolen all of my nail polish.  My entire rack is empty and I know for a FACT I locked the doors. I was not starting out right at all. Plus, I was tired.
