Some of the lovely things presented at Penumbra fashion week this time were bridal gowns. I’m not a big fan usually, so I was intrigued though to see something very understated and elegant from Ever An’ Angel for Penumbra and had to put it on. When I was newer in SL, my friends and I would often put on wedding dresses and run around the grid being mad and silly. This gown seemed to deserve an elegant backdrop. I think I found the perfect place for the SL wedding I won’t have.
It doesn’t have a lot of seating for guests but that’s ok. I might actually bring Gidge back over here for tea and cakes when she’s done working – it’s rather lovely in it’s amazing white wash of light.
There is even a fairytale-like carriage to bring me to the ceremony. Yes, this is a perfect spot.

Penumbra Spring Summer Fashion Week wraps up today, though the shops will remain open for the month. Today I am wearing a top and skirt by Glitter called Lauren. It comes with a HUD that allows you to pick six texture options for the top and the skirt. I went for the solid black top and the black skirt with a pinstripe inset. The top is very short and just barely covers the nipples, leaving the underside of the breasts bare. That’s not my preference, so I added a bodysuit from Sn@tch, using their applier for the Slink Physique so I did not have to worry about the Glitter top fitting over the Sn@tch top. Besides, I think the teal and black lace adds a nice touch. Continue reading
Penumbra Fashion Week continues for just a few more days. I decided to feature another dress from A la Folie. This one is Gloria and I chose it for a few reasons. The sunny color is a delight and a wonderful contrast to the cloudy skies. I also love pencil skirt and the Sixties styling. It makes me think of Oscar de la Renta from that era. Then, it is the 21st, which means 21 Shoe, which means the gorgeous shoes that are after the cut are for sale for this day only, and this dress and those shoes seem made for each other.
I have not been to Roche for some time. I dropped in to visit and confirm that it is still one of the loveliest sims on the grid. Continue reading

Second Life’s Penumbra Spring/Summer Fashion Week continues through the 23rd. A la Folie had a big collection including this adorable dance dress, MADNESS. It has a HUD that allows you to choose from six textures for the dress, and six colors for the ruffles and the coordinating shoes and jewelry (not shown). This made me think of the One Note Samba – built on one note, but the other notes are sure to follow.

I’ve probably bought more bikinis than anything else in SL and let’s face it, there’s a reason. Living an idyllic waterside life is something a lot of us don’t have, and even when we aren’t ocean front as I am at this time, we usually have a pool in SL or a friend does. Pool parties, beach parties and the like are a staple food of social time. Consequently the item I’ve most often rushed out to find a “new” one of is a bikini. Continue reading
