I guess one way for diabetics to have their cake is in the form of a dress like this colorful confection from CheerNo. It comes in all all the bright flavorful colors, blue, pink, yellow, purple, red and green. I went for green because that bright green looks like it could power the universe. Made of a simple sleeveless bodice with four flounces of color for a skirt in three shades of cake frosting and one layer of black on top, it’s like a very, very, very dark chocolate with three flavors of frosting. It looks delicious.

Let Me Give Your Heart A Break
Watching the temperature drop has made me a cranky girl. I want my daffodils and spring days. I am ready now, for winter to be gone and the newness of the world to open up like oxygen to us all. Continue reading
Pacific
I made my way back to Insight Forest, the striking art exhibition space on Visionaria. It’s such a peaceful and serene spot to shoot and turning on the region’s own windlight settings enhances that pacific mood. I wore the new skirt from Baistice. I have shown it before, but this is one of the two-color versions. I added a cream system layer top from LeeZu! The top is very sheer, but it becomes opaque by layering three layers.

Thank You, Fashion For Life
I am the youngest of six children. My five older siblings were all married by the time I turned four, so they basically doted on me like a pet or just one more child to play with their kids. They sometimes squabbled over me, all of them wanting me to come spend the weekend with them. I was pretty happy to go with any of them, but my oldest brother doted on me the most. I think it was because he saved me from drowning when I was three. My sister had brought me with her to the lake but was not paying attention when I got hung up in the weeds and slipped under water. Luckily my brother was there and noticed I was missing, ran in and found me unconscious, but obviously still alive. I do not remember any of this, but the story has been told to me over and over, though never by my brother. He was never one to boast. Instead, he took me swimming the next day and again and again until I grew up so at ease in the water that I would think nothing of running out the front door and swimming across the lake for a snack. When Shopping Is Your Profession
With so many things going on this weekend, I decided I wanted mellow shopping day without too many crowds or lag to disrupt my experience. But first, I had to get a touch up at the aesthetician to make sure I was cute in case I ran into any of the fashion mafia.
I got my roots touched up and decided it might be fun to go check out the Boutique event, especially since I like the idea of a Boutique with cute things you can’t resist. Continue reading
Days of Wine and Roses
I know all of you have seen this top many times over. When it came out, it was so new and distinctive that fashionistas rushed to buy it, including this one. It was blogged over and over again. That happens when items are exciting and fresh. The thing is, though, that this top has qualities that make it good investment dressing, too. It’s something to hang onto for the long haul, to be pulled out next year and the year after that because it is not only well-made, but it is made to play well with others. The relatively short waist keeps it from conflicting with skirts and pants. The lack of a collar lets it fit with lots of jewelry and even several jackets. It’s a keeper.
Today I paired it with this fabulous new pencil skirt from Baiastice. I love that she put in this soft version of a kick pleat in the back, adding an extra bit of stretch when you walk so the fabric does not get so streched. This skirt was released in five solids, six bi-colors and six leathers.

English Muffins
One Bad Pixel released a new mini-collection with a lot of wardrobe basics and this fabulous slip dress. I love dresses like these, light-weight with body-skimming fabrics that float gently, falling on your curves lightly and moving with your body. The large floral print is lush and the colors are so tempting and delicious. Of course, with the mesh made by SLink’s Siddean Munro and the textures created by Adam n Eve’s Sachi Vixen, they are bound to be well made, beautifully fitted and textured. Continue reading
Who Knows Where the Time Goes?
Who knows where the time goes? Take today for example, it’s 4:30 and all I have accomplished is shooting these blog pics. I have not even done my Fast Five yet. Where did it go? To chatting on plurk, browsing the news, reading about the new Pope and other dithering. Speaking of time going, Fashion For Life is halfway through, so it’s time to make an effort to go there and help support American Cancer Society. In the fight against cancer, the time goes far too fast.
Across the morning sky, all the birds are leaving
But how can they know it’s time for them to go?
Before the winter fire, we’ll still be dreaming
I do not count the time
For who knows where the time goes?
Who knows where the time goes?
Seven Facts
Berry has asked for folks to participate in her Seven SL Facts Meme and as they saying goes, “Let no good meme go unpublished,” so here goes.
1. I own the same 512 sm piece of land I bought back in 2007 when I joined SL. It’s on the Linden Ocean and I will never let it go.
2. One of my favorite things to do in SL is playing in the ocean with my 1L sailboat I bought at Enkythings my first week in SL.

Sassy at Fashion for Life
There is so much that is smart about this lovely dress from Sassy! for Fashion for Life. For one thing, it is made in two pieces, as a top and a skirt so it can be worn separately and mixed and matched. For another, the chevron shape of the band is flattering and sexy as all get out. For another, the weave of the fabric is gorgeous and I love the light and dark threads. Continue reading
