Blacklace Halloween

I am wary of holiday outfits – so may are one-day-wonders that will never be worn again. You cannot say that about this special Halloween Edition of the Foxy lingerie set from Blacklace.  Blacklace does extraordinary lingerie and does it well, so when Mariska Simons turned her hand to making a holiday set, she did it with a deft, imaginative touch that evokes Halloween implicity, not explicitly – making a lingerie set that can conceivably be worn throughout the year.

Meredith in Paris

So, I love the new Meredith skin from Tuli – a group gift from Tuli that was chockablock full of skins and exciting news about the new sim. Let’s just say I am counting the hours.  This skin is the sunkissed color and I am sold. I have Elizabeth in light and thought that if I got a new skin, it would also be light, but I am loving this sunkissed color precisely because it truly is just kissed by the sun and is not too bronzed.  It was the perfect shade to show off the orchid colored Paris dress from Mimikri.

The Song

I am in love with that glorious line of rhinestones running down the back of the heel of these Dare pumps from Shiny Things.

Purple haze all in my brain
Lately things just dont seem the same
Actin funny, but I don’t know why
scuse me while I kiss the sky

Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay

Does your Halloween costume yearning lean more toward the sweet and adorable? Well, who could be more rewarding than Mary Poppins. I found this costume when I was on the hunt for a Mary Poppins umbrella – not this umbrella, but the black one she usually carried.  I dd not find that, but I thought this discovery was reward enough. This is from A Halloween shop and believe me, you cannot let October pass you by without stopping there at least once.

Costume Cutie: Betty Grable

Betty Grable was the consummate pin-up. I read once that her legs were insured by Lloyds of London for a million dollars each – and that was back when a millionnaires were few and far between and there were no billionaires. Ingenue has a delightful Betty Grable costume with the suit from the famous pin-up and also that same animation. Now, what woman could resist being the world’s most famous pin-up, even if only for an evening?

Ralph

I may be the only person in America who likes Kenley and hopes she does well in Project Runway. When she talks back and they all exclaim about her attitude, I shout at the television and say “What about Santino, what about Jeffrey? Aren’t women allowed to defend their work, too?”  But, I really had to disagree with her argument last week, She said people want a show and classic doesn’t make a show.  Wrong!  That’s simply because she hasn’t seen Gracie Winnfield’s designs. Gracie does classic with an edge.

Amazon

I look a bit sad in this photo – probably because I am standing in a rainforest in the rain. Why? Well, wearing a dress called Amazonia, where else would I be?  But first, let’t look at this marvelous necklace and earrings from Sian Burke who is new to me. A Jewelry Expo discovery, I fell in love with the natural look of the gold – no glow, no full bright, no bling – just elegant natural rich gold. Yummmmmmy!

Charlie!

Okay, so I am a terrible skin reviewer.  For one, I care more about how the face and the makeup look than the shape of the tuches. I must confess, though, that the new Aleri Darkes Virgo skin has a great tuches which I noticed while shooting Gidge last night for an upcoming post on some lingerie. Secondly, who ever heard of talking about skin with a fake mustache and eyebrows? oh well…
