Did you know that all of A-Bomb’s clothing is named after songs? It’s such a great conceit and I often wish I had such a framework for post titles when I struggle trying to come up with one. For today, though, I will just steal my title from the name of my dress, Time After Time. It’s a perfect name, isn’t it, for a dress that recalls days gone by. I love this dress and not just because I love Cyndi Lauper.

You Know Something Is Great
Every once in a while something comes along and you see it everywhere – dozens of bloggers blog it, everyone wears it and when you try to buy it, the store is full. The thing is, you know you are going to make the effort to get there and wait in the lag for it to rez because you know it will be great. The Ara top from MiaMai is just one of those things. What’s my first clue? Olela, Gidge and I all just shot it to blog – a confluence of fashion love never seen before at It’s Only Fashion. The thing is, this top is so well done and so fun that it overcame my usual preference for full-length tops. I don’t often wear a short cropped top, but this one won my heart with its sassy prints and gorgeous sculpted folds.

Unlike my Ara-wearing compatriots, I didn’t wear jeans, opting for the wrap skirt from G. Field. I love this skirt and didn’t find it necessary to wear the alpha layer to prevent my glitch pants from peeking through. To be honest, I find making my hips invisible a bit freakier than an occasional peek of glitch pants.

Thanks so much!
I received a card from the Oregon Humane Society this morning telling me that a donation was made in Cliff’s memory from my friends in Second Life. I went to the memorial and the wonderful sale in Cliff’s memory that happened this weekend and cried a lot – happy tears that my friends would do something so lovely in his memory and that people would support it so much. Thanks to you, more than $100 was raised for the Humane Society and I know they can use it, not counting other personal donations made to their own local Humane Society.
Cliff was a wonderful cat and I miss him very much. I had him from the day he was born in my bed on June 15, 1992 until he went to sleep in my arms on June 16, 2011. He was a big part of my life and a constant companion full of love and affection. He’s buried next to his mother who died of old age last year. He had a happy life and even had all his own teeth at the old age of 19. Sadly he had lymphoma and was not responding to treatment. It was the best decision for him and since the vet came to my home, it was a quiet, peaceful experience. It was the best it could be.
I went to the Humane Society right away and found a new baby to love. His name is Oscar and he’s 11, so older than I planned. But I took one look at him and saw he needed someone to love him as he is. He had been at the OHS for 8 months and developed the habit of washing his face constantly. He’s been home with me less than 10 days and already his skin is looking better. He’s just a bit OCD. He spends a lot of time hiding under the covers, under the bed, under the couch – but he still has a lot of love to give and just needs to feel safe and calm and he comes out for cuddles.
There’s one way he is like Cliff, he likes to plurk. One of his first messages was “0————————————looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooo” which prompted someone to call him the lo cat. He’s figured out how to change my browser preferences, close all windows, restart my desktop and even can turn on my i-pod and fast forward playing a few measures of a song, then another, then another. He’s loud, opinionated and spunky. I can’t wait to see what adventures we will have.
Join the Hair Fair Demo Group
Hair Fair is starting soon – on July 2nd. I hope you have been hoarding lindens. One of the frequent difficulties people experience at Hair Fair is the long wait for the demos to rez, particularly with all the people there. That’s why they formed a demo group that people can join for free and get the demos delivered to them in the comfort of their own home. Then, they can try on demos in quiet, lag-free peace. They can have demo parties with their friends. They can stand around naked in their demos. They can juggle their demos in the air. (Well, maybe not.) They did this last year and the home-delivered demos were a boon for many a Hair Fair devotee.
So, the time is ripe for you to join the Hair Fair Demo group. Demos will begin going out on July 1st. You can join the Hair Fair DEMO Group by looking in Search Groups, or copy paste this link secondlife:///app/group/2e30d166-f3e5-e2de-ff72-b3da2d06ded2/about into chat in world.

Lazuri at Accessory Fair
There’s something so summery and fun about a shift dress and the ones at Coco are amazing. This Red Art Print version is fun and vibrant. The picture print is so whimsical and then adding the big flowers, you end up with something that makes me smile.

Ruchica
Another fun set from Accessory Fair is Ruchica’s Mena necklace and earrings. I wore it with this bold and graceful Luna dress from Chantkare. I love how beautifully the skirt falls when I move.

Go Back to the Accessory Fair! Now!
If you have already gone to the Accessory Fair and think you have seen it all, you haven’t. Indy & Co. just released Indyra Seigo’s contribution to the Accessory Fair as she was ill. You are probably more familiar with her clothing for Indyra Originals, but she also has a shoe line called Coquette Noir and the jewelry line called Indy & Co. The Farouk Necklace and Earrings are a bold addition to the many Egyptian-inspired pieces at the Accessory Fair and make an elegant transition from ancient to modern fashion.

I will be showing you several pieces in this post, so I wanted a perfect dress to highlight jewelry. I chose the Rosalie gown from Miao as it’s a perfect foil for jewelry with v-neckline and classic shape. It has a modern touch with a wide beaded waistband. Coming with a sculpt or flexi-skirt it allows you the option of the movement of flexi or the photographic charms of sculpts.

A House at EverSea – Accessory Fair
EverSea is a wonderful sim created by Grace Loudon who has built some amazing sims including Steiglitz for Fashion For Life, Rivet Town and of course, EverSea and EverWind. I poked about one of the houses for rent and if I were in the market for an historic home from the pre-industrial era, I would definitely look there. It sure is a fun place to take pictures – such as these shots of some new releases for Accessory Fair and a dress from L’Abel.
