Only Four More Days for Chic²

Somnia Flowey Using Pixlr & PicMonkey

It’s a lazy day and there’s nothing better for lazing about than the pajamas that Somnia created for Chic². In three version and multiple colors, there’s surely going to be one that tickles your fancy. Being an Oregonian, I opted for the one with the raindrops. As a follow-up to the post on alternatives to PhotoShop®, I played with two of the alternatives I featured. This picture was done using the retro effects on Pixlr.com. It took less than a minute to do and was so intuitive, I didn’t even look for directions.

Then I used PicMonkey’s collage maker to put together these snaps of the shoes and socks combo from Tea Time. They come in tons of colors and the socks come in vanilla cream and cocoa brown. Each pair of shoes comes with both colors.

Summer Shape Up: A Poll

Shape Tune-up: A or B?

The Solstice begins at 11:09 p.m. tomorrow so if there’s any spring-cleaning to be done, you have about a day to finish before it becomes summer-cleaning. Aside from spring-cleaning, the other big focus of spring for many people is shaping up for summer and the more revealing fashions it brings. I decided to try a summer shape-up of my own. Now that it’s done, I thought it might be fun AND SCARY to ask you what you think.

Shape Tune-up: A or B?

All the pictures are taken from the same camera position, the slight differences arising from Shape B’s slightly shorter stature. The dress I am wearing is from Geometry for Chic2. It’s a deceptively simple high-waisted sheath that is beautifully complicated by the art-deco details on the back.

Fun With GOS Boots or HOW THE SHOE POLISH WORKS

One of the things I’ve learned in four years, is that you can never be sure that everyone GETS everything. I’ve been asked a couple of times recently if I knew how the boot polishes at GOS worked, so I figured HEY BLOG POST.

Cuz I have a blog.

So first off, take yourself to GOS and buy yourself some boots or shoes that have the boot polish system available. For my example I’m going to use the 8 hole DOCS.

They look like this, only smaller. Continue reading

With Love For Lelutka

I am not a big group JOINER. This is probably because I don’t get out much plus I’m not a big shopper per se so, I tend to only be in groups I really love being a part of.  Lelutka is one of those groups.

Recently they sent out a group notice with a sweet summery gift that I’m fairly sure has been blogged ad infinitum. I could check the feeds but why bother? Other bloggers loving on it doesn’t make my loving any less. In fact, I guess it just reinforces WHY it’s freaking awesome group to belong to. Continue reading

Take Your Damned Wasabi Pills OR ELSE!

It takes very little more endorsement than either Hybie or Honour to shoot a place, but when both of my to go travel blogs shoot the SAME spot well – I’m bound to end up over there. Continue reading

Ship Shape: LD Shapes

We all tend to be kind of possessive of our shapes. They are US after all. But sometimes, even when you’re an old wizened, shriveled up avatar (no not the one you think, I mean ME) it’s good to stretch your skin across a different look.

I’ve decided that like posers, shapers are the bastard children in the land of creators. No one credits them. Well, I do. But it’s because I’m a poser so I feel their pain. Continue reading
