I Love Olive

I do love olive – in all its forms. I love the color – it’s earthy and comfortable. I love the fruit – the rich, fatty, meaty olives that are so, so dangerous. I love the oil brushed on a flat piece of dough with some zaatar spice mix or drizzled with vinegar in salad or in a hundred other ways. I even like Olive Oyl. And in this outfit, I get to love twice – in the gorgeous pullover from Moonshine Designs and in the I Love Olive hair I am wearing.

Summer Sun

The summer sun can be enervating, but Lelutka has the solution – the Berthold hat. Now, I am one of those people who wonder about the logistics of things, so I assume that this is going to be one of those hats that you buy when you get to your vacation destination and ship home. It won’t fit easily in a suitcase and if you try to wear it on a plane, I think you will be arrested! Still, it’s gorgeous, if impractical.

Peaches, Cream & Candy

Although my favorite color is green, I don’t always choose the green colored dress since some greens can be tricky to style, but peachy coral colored dresses are irresistible for me. You cannot go wrong. Peach is such a feminine and soft color that always makes me feel good and look good. This lovely dress is a perfect complement to the peaches and cream complexion of PXL Creations Pale Candy skin tone that was released today.

With the release of Pale, all of the Candy skin tones  (Tan, Light Tan, Sunkissed, Natural and Pale) have finally been released. The Pale tone is a delicate porcelain – fairest of the fair. The particular option I am wearing is with natural eyes and lips – as bare as it comes and it’s still a beautifully delicate skin.

Took me long enough

Sometimes  when I realize how many outfits I would like to shoot and then consider the time I have to shoot, I just shake my head. For example, this fabulously beautiful gown from  A La Folie has been lingering in my inventory since the RFL Fashion Expo where I purchased it. I finally got around to shooting it two weeks ago and finally posted it today. It’s not that the timing matters that much since it’s still on sale – but yes, it sure took me long enough.

Fabulous Florals

I used to have a dress very similar to this – a fitted bodice, short sleeves, full skirt with the fabric a glorious garden of orange and yellow flowers. I loved it and wore it and wore and wore it – until I wore it out. It was not a lovely silk challis like this one, but a very light-weight cotton and was just loved to death. Poor dress! I miss it. So what a joy to discover a dress so similar – and with a much more durable and luxurioius fabric.

Party Dress

Gidge & I had a party on Saturday and we really need to have parties more often. It was a lot of fun. I wore this gorgeous new dress from  L’Abel that is perfect party wear. It’s got that frilly skirt that is perfect for dancing since it covers up all the funny dance positions our animations can bring us to, but it’s nice and short to show off the dancing shoes.

Sometimes the Fabric Reaches Off the Shelf

Sometimes the fabric reaches off the shelf and takes control of your hand, purchasing itself because it knows that you want it. You are trying to be sensible and tell yourself you have spent enough, but the fabric knows better. It’s beautiful, it has that lovely two-tone subtlety that speaks to you and it knows you love it. That happened to me when I saw this Laish dress from Lelutka.

And of course, one I had the dress, I needed a jacket that would look good with it, so I also bought the Biyaca Bolero. It took just a bit of editing to make  it work  perfectly and not intersect with the dress prims.
