I am not going to jump too quickly into fall and the coming seven months of non-ending clouds, mist and rain. I am going to hang onto summer by the fingernails and drag every bit of sunny weather out of it that I can. So…even in celebration of the glorious sun that is shining today…shining in Oregon in September…I am wearing this lovely bright floral dress from Bijou and pretending it’s June and there’s still months of dry weather ahead.

I thought about calling this “Peach Me, I’m Dreaming” but realized that would be a new low in word play and demurred. Instead, I thought I might focus on how wonderful it is to have tintable clothing items that enable mixing and matching with a broader number of choices. Now, when I saw the Morcade dress at French Touch last week, I fell in love. It’s just beautifully made and for 1L, it’s the steal of the grid. Gidge blogged it at FreeStyle along with a host of 1L dresses from there. Soon after we were at the fishing hole on Zion and there was a gorgeous woman wearing that dress which lead to a three way conversation about way to wear the top without the skirt. She put on a grey wool pair of pants and looked luscious.
I went back to the photo studio and tried a bunch of skirts and they all looked good, but the look that melted my butter was this one – with the ALB Dream Fashion Dior dress. I just tinted it a bit to get it peachy instead of creamy and yum!!!
While I was at Coco the other day picking up those red-red-red pants, I also saw these luscious lime pants – same style, different color. I had to have them because lime is such a fun color and so cheery and happy. When I went to the Velvet on Sunday for Maht’s usual Sunday set, I popped on this outfit that included a gorgeous floral cardigan from Coco as well.
When you think of Chanel, do you think of Rock & Roll, Rock Chic, Rocker Chicks? Nah, me either, but for the recent tribute to Chanel, STAGED presented this Chanel Cross pantsuit that rocks the house. Add the Shanti shoes from Maitreya and I’m a believer.
On really hot summer nights, there’s nothing better than a pair of loose cotton gauze palazzo pants so light you can feel the breeze flow through them. I took the pair from a Zenith pantsuit and paired it with the bodice of a Zaara summer dress for a nice cool summer night casual look. Adding the fab leather & lace belt from EarthStones put me in the mood for more EarthStones so I popped over there and picked up the matching shoes.

How many of you have a granny square afghan made by some older relative who tirelessly crocheted multitudes of color scraps of yarn into rosettes and squares and then painstakingly sewed or crocheted them together? With grey denim trim at the waist, this is a nice casual day dress that goes anywhere. Suiting all weather, too, as you can easily slip a turtleneck sweater underneath.
