Sascha Frangilli released a cozy casual dress perfect for boots and tights in white, and I decided it’s Winter White so that makes it ok. Continue reading

Fall Into Collabor88
The new round of Collabor88 is set to open imminently and the fall is upon us. I couldn’t resist putting the fun, fall bazaar inspired jacket dress I’m ready for fall, the summer has been one long hot experience. Continue reading
Almost Late for C88!
I don’t normally like to post things so close to closing time, but I really enjoyed my outfit today, so alas, I am going to share it anyway.
Collabor88 closes it’s doors at 11:59pm slt tonight, so you only have a little time left to go shopping. The new round starts on Sunday.
I bought one pair of these shoes originally, then found out you can mix and match through the huds. Sadly at the time I did not find the fatpack, and after buying 5 pairs I’m super tempted to ask to pay the difference and get the fatpack, they really are too much fun to play with.

Why do I blog?
Gidge sparked discussion the other day when she asked “Whyfor bloggest thou?” The general consensus is that people blog because they like it. That’s my reason for blogging, too. That’s also the obvious answer. Why would people spend hours on an unpaid hobby if they didn’t like it? However, I thought I might dig a little deeper and ask why I like it. Where are the rewards that make it worthwhile and pleasurable.

The One Where I Ride a Very Surprised Horse
Well, it said if I joined the group I got a free horse. I was probably wrong to presume it would be as nice as the horses other people were riding. But, I was whisked back to 2008 with this beauty.
Also my world became lag hell while riding her, and had to abandon.
I wasn’t really dressed to ride though, actually. So it’s just as well. Continue reading
Feeling (f)risqué
I kind of fell in love with the ISON Razzle pants and vest for Collabor88. They come separately so they can be mixed and matched. They come in six colors, black, white, gray, camel, green and blue, making them great foundation pieces for your wardrobe. I am a bit of pixel prude, so when I went to The Velvet last night, I added this lovely wrap from One Bad Pixel for a more discreet look.
However, daring fashionistas that don’t mind risking a little slip here and there, can war just the vest. Frankly both the One Bad Pixel wrap top and the Ison Razzle vest fit so well, i didn’t bother with the alpha layers.
Saturated
I love the rich, saturated colors of Aux’ Studded Cocktail Dress for Collabor88. I had the hardest time choosing which one to wear because they were all like jewels in an imperial treasury. What finally helped me decide was finding which of the Baistice Winter Leggings with Spikes I liked best with a dress. Those studs in the color called out for more metal and that’s the way I went.
Flowers in Ghostville
I thought Ghostville would be an appropriate place to wear this outfit since I am wearing clothing from a bygone era. Yes, that blouse is a combination of system, prim and sculpts without any mesh components. In fact, it’s an old blouse, one from GField and I did not delete it in the great non-mesh purges of 2012 and 2013. I jest, I guess, though Gidge said I would be thrown out of the Fashion Mafia. The thing is, I love this blouse. It’s beautiful fits well and looks great and I really don’t care what it is made of when it works. I paired with with gorgeous mesh pants from One Bad Pixel in a lovely tone on tone damask.
I am wearing SLink’s natural mesh feet with ISON’s sandals from the July Collabor88 which should be in the store now. The sandals are striking with bold colors and a line of brass studs running up the vamp. They fit well when walking and standing but I discovered while dancing that the movement of dancing will allow the heel to show through the back of the shoe. If you don’t plan on dancing, though, they have no fit issues.
Here is a closer look at the top. I love mesh myself, but really, this looks great and I don’t see any reason to avoid wearing clothing that looks good just because its technology is no longer de riguer.
My hair is from a recent release from Truth and is called Elaine. It has a sweet blue fade at the ends. The jewelry is from Maxi Gossamer and the mesh hands are SLink’s with a fabulous manicure and pedicure from FLAIR.
Glam Affair has gorgeous, fresh-faced skins for Collabor88 this month. I love the color in the cheeks and the subtle eye makeup.

Jazz Nights
Collabor88 is celebrating its second anniversary with a huge showcase – two stories featuring all the regulars and all the guests from the past year. It is the biggest Collabor88 showcase yet and best of all, it features the clothing from one of my favorite fashion eras, the 1920s. I first fell in love with the 1920s during my summer visits to my great aunt who was kindly called “a character.” She had been good friends with F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and she and her husband partied with them at their apartment on Summit Avenue in St. Paul. However, time moved on and they and she did not.
How could a child not adore her, this 70-something woman dressed in rich, beaded and embroidered flapper gowns and gold and silver encrusted pumps with her hennaed hair in a bob with a flower on the side. She told wonderful stories of that era. Stories of speakeasies, parties and jazz. She taught me songs, dances and filled my head with stories of their parties, of meeting Charles Lindbergh before he disgraced himself, of Louis Tiffany and of course, Scott and Zelda. She loved that era and never left it. Yes, she was a few bubbles off plumb and probably looked ridiculous dressing in fashions sixty years out of time, but for a child – she was incomparable. Besides, she was family and families love their odd ducks. Continue reading
Garden Delights
Gizza has released a gorgeous lace dress perfect for summer days. I am wearing without the higher waisted full skirt flexis and the rose at the waist, opting for a more casual look using the mesh skirt and flexi leg prime. I like this closer fitting, dropped waist, simpler, sleeker and chic.
The lovely braided hair is from Iren. I picked it up at Hair Fair last month.
