Back before there were gay people (wink), my Uncle George was a CONFIRMED OLD BACHELOR. I don’t know if you are old enough to have ever KNOWN a CONFIRMED OLD BACHELOR, but they are men of a certain age who never married. They tend to live alone or with a “friend” who is a border or roommate. They often travel together.
My Uncle George was such a Confirmed Old Bachelor.
He traveled to Cuba to gamble in the 30s and flew to South America to travel the Amazon with his friend Hal. They also loved to visit San Francisco. They lived for a while in Los Angeles where Uncle George was a hairstylist at “FOX” as he would say. He worked there through the war and beyond, only returning home when he had a huge novel of delicious Hollywood gossip and intrigue he could share when you visited him.

Cajsa took me exploring on the Emerald Green sim the other night, and I decided it was a good excuse to shoot a few out of the studio. The entire location is so amazing and beautiful I’m probably going to have to go back a few times. There are tons of gorgeous vignettes and scenery. It’s a happy blogger place for shooting.

I am bored shooting in the studio, at least for today, so went roaming at the Mysterious Wave installation where Cajsa went shooting yesterday.
Disco Deals is open and there are some really beautiful and unique things this month! Right now I’m wearing the Lola Rocks shirt from MIAO and the awesome locket necklace also from Miao. My first job, my first REAL job that wasn’t food related or convenience store related, was FASHION CONSULTANT. No lie. That was the job title. It was sort of a dubious title at best as there wasn’t much FASHION going on in my opinion, but in fact my job was to help ladies put together outfits and “looks” – starting with FOUNDATION GARMENTS.
*shudder*
I’m far too lazy to dress myself, though. Luckily, much like Cinderella, I find that I’ve got four legged creatures at hand ready to prance and sing whilst selecting my attire for the day. It all starts when I open my eyes and find two of my beloveds whispering to me that it’s time to awake- and be gorgeous.

I have a confession. This shoot started with the jewelry. Anytime there is new jewelry at Donna Flora I’m pretty much in love and stoned on girly goodness to such a point that it’s difficult for me to actually MAKE blogging decisions. But I struggled through my joy and decided it was a purple and yellow moment for me today.
