A gorgeous sweater dress like this Argyle Plaid dress from CIA for FAIR can garner a lot of calls and compliments. Hugging the figure, it highlights your curves with a sleek and chic shape. The bold pink in the Argyle makes it young and modern as dose the outsize pattern of the plaid. I added a fun and frisky little clutch from Just Design for the With Love hunt that starts on Friday. Covered in hearts of every shade of pink and red, it’s sure to win your heart if you can find it.

Lost In Borgen
One of the perks of Thanksgiving weekend is the TV marathon that allows you to catch up on old shows and discover new ones. During this weekend, I discovered what may be one of the best TV shows ever – at least for a political junkie like me. It’s called Borgen, or Government, and is a Danish series imagining the career of the first woman prime minister. It’s available on the LinkTV website for two weeks only, so here’s your chance. Both Season One and Season Two are available. I would love to take the fictional prime minister Birgitte Nystrom shopping, though. She only wears black and dark blue power suits with solid color blouses and sensible shoes. I would love to see her in some color and prints. She could carry off this bold, body-con dress from Kunglers, but would never even try it on.
Monday Can Be Date Night Too
I started getting dressed for a romantic evening and after slipping into some new pretty lingerie I found on marketplace I got stuck on my jewelry. I dithered for about thirty minutes about what to wear and then it hit me. Continue reading
Christmas comes to New York
My Barnesworth Anubis NYC Skybox Apartment, that is! This has to be my favorite skybox yet by Mr. Anubis. I fell in love with his skyboxes when I bought one at Collabor88 a while back and now I have a kind of crazy fascination with them.
I’ve just put the finishing touches on my holiday decorations and I thought I would share with you….
Nothing is better than spending the day relaxing by a fire after working so hard to put all those decorations out….
More after the cut….

Camping Weekend
I went rolling around looking for an idle spot to relax and do nothing this holiday weekend. I found a gorgeous spot that had camping set up so I figured YAY camping. It was a perfect opportunity to play and have fun. It was perfect for campfire stories, of the less scary kind. Continue reading
Winter Arrives
You need a Christmas tree. I firmly believe this. Even my Jewish friends have Christmas trees. So even though I’m just living on a bit of borrowed space, I felt like I had to have a bit of holiday spirit to make my skybox a home. Continue reading
Pose Appreciation: Status
Pose Appreciation Week is winding down and I hope all the bloggers highlighting the role of poses in their work have succeeded in their goal in highlighting the many good and great posers in Second Life. I could not participate in Pose Appreciation Week without highlighting Status Poses from Gidge. This is a new set from Status that has not even been released yet, though it will be available on Marketplace very soon. One of the reasons I love Status poses is the commitment to story-telling in Gidge’s work. Her poses are narrative poses, conveying mood, activity and drama. Many are snaps in mid-step, in the process of turning. While she does provide some of the standard fashion pose sets, her real passion is for slice-of-life poses. If you want a pose to tell a story, Status is the place to start looking first.
My dress is from Loovus Dzevavor and with the bold print, color-blocking, and the sleeveless shift shape, it channels the style of 1960s Carnaby Street in London. It’s available in several bold prints and colors.
A Little Lace Love
The Secret Store & NYU released a fabulous dress with a subtly simple design. The high waist, pleats and the hem, cut on a different grain for contrast, add to its visual interest without being over-designed. There is also lovely feminine Flanders lace collar that softens its minimalist aesthetic.
Happy Thanksgiving
I hope all our American readers stuffed themselves on our traditional feast day and took some time to reflect on all that is good with our lives. 🙂 Continue reading
