Gidge’s Fast Five: Saint Patrick’s Day Edition

GidgeFast FiveThe most important thing I can say to you right now is this. I’m Irish Protestant.

Now, moving on.

There were five posts that I saw earlier, meant to blog, forgot because life is busy and then liked them enough to pour a glass of wine and log in to share them!

1. Antlers for Everyone Everyone seems to be wearing antlers lately and it’s not Christmas. Sam Laszlo has found the best way yet to blog some antlers and keep it fresh. Well done. Continue reading

When Shopping Is Your Profession

New Shoes Blues? Never, I Chose Pink.

With so many things going on this weekend, I decided I wanted mellow shopping day without too many crowds or lag to disrupt my experience. But first, I had to get a touch up at the aesthetician to make sure I was cute in case I ran into any of the fashion mafia.
Getting My Hairs DidI got my roots touched up and decided it might be fun to go check out the Boutique event, especially since I like the idea of a Boutique with cute things you can’t resist. Continue reading

Cajsa Fast Five: March 16

Fast FiveI hope some of you can drop by Fashion For Life this afternoon. I will be DJ’ing from 3 to 4 and have pulled together a fashion-centric set. Meanwhile, there’s great stuff on the blogs.

  1. Clover: Grazia Horwitz shot a striking headshot that you really have to see. She always does an excellent job, but this one is breathtaking.
  2. I’ve Been Walking… : Belen Ackland has stunning fashion photos that work so well in the setting, they could easily grace a fashion magazine.
  3. Transformed: Xeriko Melnick takes the treehouse from Trompe L’oeil’s that’s one of the hot items at Collabor88 and transforms it into a beach house. Who knew?
  4. Wiskee’s Journal: Citta Wiskee’s tumblr is worth visiting for a long time and often.
  5. Tameless: A dream kawaii post from Manolya Preis. Most items are from the Pink Fusion Hunt. And seriously, the most detailed credits ever.

Days of Wine and Roses

I know all of you have seen this top many times over. When it came out, it was so new and distinctive that fashionistas rushed to buy it, including this one. It was blogged over and over again. That happens when items are exciting and fresh. The thing is, though, that this top has qualities that make it good investment dressing, too. It’s something to hang onto for the long haul, to be pulled out next year and the year after that because it is not only well-made, but it is made to play well with others. The relatively short waist keeps it from conflicting with skirts and pants. The lack of a collar lets it fit with lots of jewelry and even several jackets. It’s a keeper.

Today I paired it with this fabulous new pencil skirt from Baiastice. I love that she put in this soft version of a kick pleat in the back, adding an extra bit of stretch when you walk so the fabric does not get so streched. This skirt was released in five solids, six bi-colors and six leathers.

English Muffins

One Bad Pixel released a new mini-collection with a lot of wardrobe basics and this fabulous slip dress. I love dresses like these, light-weight with body-skimming fabrics that float gently, falling on your curves lightly and moving with your body. The large floral print is lush and the colors are so tempting and delicious.  Of course, with the mesh made by SLink’s Siddean Munro and the textures created by Adam n Eve’s Sachi Vixen, they are bound to be well made, beautifully fitted and textured.  Continue reading

The Second Life Fashionista Achievement Awards

Cajsa and Hybie and I put our evil minds together and decided that we do in fact think there should be an END GAME on the Grid and we are here to help  you get there. I mean, how can you WIN if you don’t rack up achievements? Welcome to the first installment of – THE SECOND LIFE FASHIONISTA ACHIEVEMENTS. Have you unlocked these yet? Continue reading

Cajsa Fast Five: March 15th

Fast Five Today is the eventful in a different sense of the word. It’s full of events, so perhaps it’s “eventfull.” There’s the opening of Skin Fair and The Boutique, the deadline for the hottest photo contest in town, and Fashion For Life moving toward its too-soon closing on Sunday. And that’s not all!

  1. The Magic of Oz and the Frustration of Mesh: Carrie Lexington muses about the changes mesh has brought to Second Life and it’s not what you think. She has an interesting perspective and one that many will identify with.  Continue reading

Pink Fuel – Alyx

All is right in the world again. I was like emo about not being able to get into the skin fair early, which is obviously my fault because I’m lazy and didn’t apply to be in any of the blogger groups. Anywho, tonight Mochi passed over the tone of my choosing (pale of course) and I’m in love. This skin called Alyx in the porcelain tone is so adorable. The shots are raw shots, I’ve edited nothing on the skin.

Hybie’s Seven Second Life Facts – Meme

I wasn’t sure what I was going to write to go along with these pictures I took last night then I remembered there was a new meme from Strawberry Singh floating around. ( I would link it to you but it appears the link button is broken, it’s greyed out and I don’t know why). On that note, let’s get started.

1) I NEVER know what to write when I’m blogging. It frustrates me to no end when people say bloggers should write. lol. I just want to post pictures and say a few one liners and be done with it. I don’t feel I have anything interested to say. Honestly, I might make up some shit here because I’m already struggling.
