I love furniture and houses that have some poses built in and wanted to show you some of the lovely poses in Y’s Omake house and furniture. I am wearing a casual outfit featuring elements from Project Donate for UNICEF, Designers United and Hair Fair – a few of the events that are going on now.

I want to give props to the poses in Y’s houses and furnishing. I could not resist the beautiful windowseat full of poses that make the Omake house such a wonder.

And the Fabbie goes to….Ashia Tomsen
So many people are doing outstanding jobs of featuring the many hair styles released at the Hair Fair that I never thought I would be singling one out for special attention, but after seeing the creative photos Ashia Tomsen produced for her blog post about The Stringer Mausoleum, I just have to say that they are Fabulous!!! Please click through and see the others, too.

Venus In Exile

posted by Gidge Uriza
It’s a quickie today but I’ve been sitting on this shoot of the gorgeous Hair Fair release from Exile for days.
And it wanted out.
I think that if you read me enough you know that it is just about girly enough to make me drool in RL.
I’m also wearing one of the CHLOE skins from Exile, which is a very delicate and pretty face.
Now, it’s Friday! Have a great weekend! I mean it!

Echoes & Mirrors

The myths of Narcissus and Echo have inspired a tremendous outpouring of art throughout history and now and exhibition of the creative arts of Second Life with Designers United. The majority of the work at Designers United is fashion – such as this dress I am wearing, but there’s also posemaking and home building. The mirroring bench I used in these shots with their poses is an outstanding example of that creativity and craftsmanship.

The genius is that the poses in the bottom bench mirror the poses in the top and a semi-sheer prim separates them to give the effect of water. Taking two photos and putting them together is a relatively simple task and with the bench designed to create the mirrored effect, it was an easy thing to do.

I <3 The Icing

posted by Gidge Uriza
I picked up THE FRENCH CONNECTION hair from Clawtooth at the Hair Fair (sim 1) and figured at some point I’d figure out what to wear with it.
The SECOND I saw Whimsy plurk this new release from THE ICING I knew I’d found it!
You had me at it comes in PINK!
It actually comes in several colors including a fall appropriate houndstooth. But none of the other colors were pink.

Now I am off for some real life!
Have a fantastic Thursday! MUWAH!

Event Fusion

The Designers United event missed my radar somehow until I saw Cajsa’s blogpost. I don’t know how I missed it but I’m scattered, what can I say?
I had been petting and drooling over the gorgeous creativity dropped on the Hair Fair by Tekeli-Li this year (yes this Barbie is a huge Tekeli-Li fan, go figure) and I had my skin all picked out but just couldn’t decide what to wear – until I got the DU notice about this dress from ORTA.

The RoboBambie Challenge – Do YOU Have What It Takes?

First……..the CHALLENGE.
Ok bloganistas…..I’m issuing you a challenge to get the hell out of your box and blog something that absolutely falls under the category of NON-TRADITIONAL BEAUTY. I totally want to see some of you blog ROBOBAMBIE by THE STRINGER MAUSOLEUM which you can find at the HAIR FAIR.
This is my #1 Favorite hair from the Fair and I’ll tell you why in a minute.
But first, I think that I want to lay out my rules for my challenge. THERE ARE NO RULES. I just want to see everyone wearing this hair. I want NOTHING BUT THIS HAIR ON THE FEEDS 24/7………ok ok ok maybe not. That’s a lot of robot hair. But I’m kinda dying to see what other people would do with it.
Me? I made a dress out of it.
Why?
Well that’s a funny story…..it goes like this. Continue reading
