When I unpacked the glorious “My Feathered Waspie” from La Penderie de Nicole, I realized it was one of those pieces that could be mixed and matched with bits and pieces of other outfits to make fun, new things, giving me a chance to “design my own.”

Rainy Day Movies
Cinema is officially open today!
I was a bit bored of my normal compilation posts, so I braved the grid and went “on location” today to show you a couple more of my favorite Cinema finds.
This entire shot is inspired by Alice Project’s new “Willow” hair at the Cinema event. I LOVE windblown styles; in fact, I even have a special “Windblown” section of my inventory’s hair folder. This hair is gorgeous, and comes with the standard HUD jam-packed with lots of color options and infinite customization.
I knew I wanted to use this hair for a windy, rainy shot, so I put out the call to my ever-knowledgeable Plurk friends for a good rainy location. The Cupcake sim has a small rainy section, and the “old Parisian” feel is perfect for this new bustier dress by Perception, also available at Cinema.
Finally, though you might have to look closely to notice, I’m wearing Slink’s new mesh hands. They’re fabulous!
More highlights from Cinema coming in future posts. I hope you’ve already had a chance to check it out this afternoon. If not, run! Go!

It’s TIME TO GET READY FOR HALLOWEEEEEEEN
I really really like Halloween in both lives. Crazy decorating, lots of treats, there is no end to my enthusiasm. I started breaking out my fall/Halloween awesome decorations this past week and decided that some baking is definitely in order. Continue reading
No Muss, No Fuss
When I saw this fabulous off-the-shoulder sweater from erratic for FaMESHed this month, I immediately thought of these gorgeous pants from Cashmere that I found at Vintage Fair. Sure enough, they are a great match and perfect for a no muss, no fuss Saturday.
To Hang Vigil For Odin
I chose one of my favorite books, American Gods, as the inspiration for my pose prop for the DEAD COOL Halloween event. I think it’s time we started rolling out the truly macabre and grisly wonders of the month of October, and while I didn’t include an actual hanging pose, I think electing suicide is macabre enough. Movie Night
As I’m sure you know, the Cinema event opens tomorrow, and I hope you’re excited as I am!

The build for Cinema is probably the best I’ve ever seen, and you can grab the goodies above for free!
Just for a little sneak peek, I wanted to highlight some of the “casual wear” items I snagged. (Stay tuned for others in another post!)
First up is this layered sweater/shirt combo from Auxiliary. I’m really loving plaid shirts for fall, and for Cinema you can get this one with a creepy zombie scene on the sweater!
Auxiliary also released special Cinema versions of the cute Bunneh Hoodies currently at Collabor88. These Cinema hoodies come in a variety of shades and have sugar skull bunnies on the front. Love!
Next up is this outfit from Pink Outfitters. The shirt and pants come with both clean and bloody versions (clean shown here, obviously). I love good wardrobe staples like this, and I’ll be pairing these jeans with boots for Fall! (And…oops, my eyes are closed here.)
Last but not least, check out these chevron jeans from Evolve. I’m a little obsessed with chevron prints, and I love the muted multi-tones on these. I don’t have any other printed jeans in my inventory, so these are a welcome addition!
Count your lindens, throw on your no-lag event clothes, and get ready to click “teleport” – Cinema is coming!

The Plastik Gambit
I don’t know which opening move Aikea Rieko is commemorating with her Gambit dress, but it must be a colorful one.
I love the many iterations of this Gambit dress from The Plastik for FaMESHed and there is one in the tradition black and white colors of chess, so the name makes perfect sense. But for me, I am drawn to the wild, hallucinogenic prints like this one and the one that Acha wore the other day. But then, I have never had the patience for chess.
It’s a Wrap
I wonder if Diane von Fursternberg knew, back in 1972 when she introduced her wrap dress, that it would completely conquer the world. This Kennedy dress from Rebel Hope shows us why. It’s a model of simplicity, free of embellishments. Its lines are clean and spare with no added darts and pleats for structure, its shape formed by its easy embrace of the body. Its color gives it a dash of the casual while its fluidity and side wrapped bodice add a touch of cleavage and sex appeal. It may have come into being in 1972, but its organic shape made it an instant classic. It’s one of the fabulous mesh pieces you can find at this month’s FaMESHed showcase.
…DRAW !
I realized after I edited that this pose looks like I’m about to have a shootout.
This town ain’t big enough for the both of us, pardner.
Fitting as I chose the western pattern of leggings to wear from Baiastice for this shoot. She just released beautiful leggings in a variety of colors and patterns. I was feeling fall colors when I got dressed though, and chose shades to reflect that. Continue reading
