Tick, Tock, It's Soon Arcade O'Clock
The Arcade opens in just over three hours. December if my favorite month for The Arcade. The holidays seems to inspire such whimsy and grace. Also, since everything is No Copy for trading, it’s a great place to buy gifts. My outfit comes from Collabor88 items (except the fun candycane tights that were a Christmas gift from Alaska Metro last year. Sorry, I am an evil blogger, but not totally evil, they are on marketplace.

I’m Actually Quite Busy

There might be a little confusion regarding my level of leisure around these parts because of the recent article in The Atlantic where I was mentioned. It was a lot of fun to be a part of the project and I really did enjoy it. But I do think the author didn’t really understand that a blogger WORKS around these parts.

In fact, let’s face it – it’s my job here on the grid. I’m a writer and a sharer of fashion and other things to enhance your digital life. Sometimes I tell stories, sometimes I blather on about things I like. That’s who I am and what I do.

What A Day For A Daydream

Styling and trying on new things is a huge part of my job. Sometimes it seems like my waking and sleeping hours are filled with my brain just thinking about new things to wear and how I’m going to wear them.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a hardship. Looking fantastic in lovely clothes is probably one of my favorite activities if the truth be told.  Today I’m thinking about my accessory choices for this amazing dress from Clef de Peau that I picked up on Fifty Linden Friday. So today has been an emotional one. A year ago today my sister died after a long battle with cancer. Today, her granddaughter brought her first great-grandchild – an entirely new generation – into the world. Isn’t that magical? She was due last week, but she waited several days to arrive on the most perfect day she could. So forgive me for not describing much, it’s hard to see the screen through tears, though they are more happy ones than sad ones.

I kinda sorta fell in love with the top and skirt from United Colors at Collabor88 this month. This month’s theme is Autumn’s Breath, possibly inspired by Mary Howitt’s Cornfields. Howitt’s big contribution was The Spider and the Fly so it seems a good time to shoot some pictures in my parlor and show off my shoes from Ingenue. <grin>

Clothes Make a Statement

Costumes tell a story.

I’ve  heard that saying, but I wonder if I’m always in costumes or clothes?  Regardless of that, I’ve spent my morning running around in an October fueled joy, because it’s pumpkin time and it’s Halloween time and leaves are turning.

It’s time for everything to change.

I hit the FLF hard and heavy this morning too, as evidenced by my pumpkins, dress and shoes. WORTH every penny.

Some people might tell you it’s too soon to start Halloween dressing and decorating.

We call such people bad friends and recommend you limit your exposure to them. No one needs that kind of negativity.
