There is nothing like an afternoon at the beach to wash away all my worldly cares. The skies were a little threatening but that didn’t stop the ass slappers and canoodlers going at it all around. I opted for a drink at the bar and to sit and just relax, listening to the crashing surf.
I should start surfing. Maybe that can be my new hobby? What do you think?
Might mess up my hair though. You know I hate that.
All RL signs pointed to this being Monday. But it’s a Wednesday. That’s just perplexing ya’ll. I don’t even know how to process it. I went to an hilariously old amusement park needing to shake the Monday blues and my god, not only is this place a hoot because it’s so old, it’s not even Monday.
In both worlds I needed some sustenance of a cheesy, bread sort of thing. These pizzas from JunkFood are everything. Am I eating constantly? Probably. But I can’t eat nonstop junk with my new heart condition so the delights on the grid now make me an even happier avatar.

I decided pretty quickly this morning that it was going to be a pajama day. I had no plans, no social or shopping engagements to fulfill and no reason NOT to just hang out and do nothing.
Well almost nothing.
It’s laundry day around here. So I’ll get a little something done despite refusing to get dressed like a proper fashion blogger. Oh well I don’t even care, this is a me day. Sometimes you need a ME day.
I am also the luckiest girl in the world that I’ve got some great leftovers for dinner, no needing to cook or run out to pick something up. Is it a perfect day? Maybe.

I love the Japonica Event and this round is no disappointment. There are things to eat, things to do and of course shopping for gorgeous items all around the sim.
KILL THAT FROG
Any event that has fun things to do I’m instantly going to love. For instance, I am thoroughly enjoying shooting the HELL out of this frog – also this duck. The only thing I might enjoy more would be if there were prizes for accuracy.
If you know me you know that food is one of my absolute obsessions on the grid, so this dessert café and coffee shop was an absolute must while I reviewed my shopping list. I’m trying not to buy the whole world but it’s a challenge when everything is so ridiculously cute.

Dinner is served
After I spent most of my money and was out of anything resembling energy, I found a small restaurant on the sim and stopped in for some much needed dinner. As you can see I had a small friend who was very interested in my entrée. I can’t blame him – it WAS delicious!
Japonica is a gorgeous event – whether you’re shopping or just looking for a spot to shoot some fun photos (or grab a bite to eat). I highly recommend!
There are people who will tell you that self care is going to the spa and paying a lot of money for various things to be slathered all over your body. I say FIE on that. FIE. I say self care is whatever restores your sanity. If that’s a glass of cheap red wine and a box of pizza and various pizza like items – then bring it on.
Aliana and I decided that was exactly what we needed tonight. She’s going to read me memes and other items of interest from the interwebs and we are going too just BE here at The Elms.
I’m super excited to remind you that Hair Fair is in full swing. I haven’t run the gauntlet YET but I will before it’s over. As ALWAYS Exile delivers gorgeous hair that is MUST have.
My typist just returned from a week’s vacation so I had to beg her to let me out. Letting me out involved a lot of shopping with some much deserved respite on the beach when it was over. Even when she’s not around, I’m pretty happy I have this quiet spot here to relax.

I love exploring so early this morning I set out to wander the coast in search of a cup of coffee and some fresh air. I wasn’t disappointed in my adventures except by one thing.
These birds man, they are horrible. You can’t see the birds? Well they are those blobby grey things. I rebaked every texture on the grid trying to improve them. I fiddled with settings, I tweaked this or that I can say with confidence that this is as good as these birds get.
Bear coffee? Delicious! Birds? Bleh.
After my wake me up I went out and grabbed some necessities for dinner.
Or is it Bellisserian? I don’t really know. But I do know that it’s a perfect refuge after a long week. I picked up new chairs and and a new camper cooler and I couldn’t be happier with how this evening is shaping up.
I’ve got the grill going, cold drinks and popsicles. Don’t tell me it’s not summer. As far as I’m concerned, it’s here.

I have a couple of quibbles with my house and they’re small but mainly it’s because the windows don’t look out at the sea. That in itself isn’t much of an issue, as I have a huge backyard and access to a boat dock rezz zone if I trespass on the lighthouse island nearby. All of that being said, I have to admit, I’m a sucker for being seaside regardless of the weather. Stormy Friday nights suit me fine. After all, I’ve got 165k items in my inventory, surely I couldn’t truly be said to WANT for anything now could I?
This chair about gave me a heart attack trying to acquire it. Locations that are full because people are shopping frequently cause me to not bother with them at all. I’ve lost the patience for it. But in this instance I have to admit I simply HAD to have it. I was creating a little cozy-casual nook for drinks, TV and relaxing and it just fit the part so perfectly. So I reloaded the TP to the spot over and over and over like a peasant until I got in.
Seriously, I felt like an SL pioneer.
Regardless – amazing chair ACQUIRED.
It’s a discounted item (not a gift, gifts are FREE) at ANTHEM event from Bazar. I think it was 60L or 50L or I don’t know what but WORTH every penny. It is awesome.
Eventually I got hungry and wanted to have some kung pao beef, but I got bored waiting on it to cook and cut ups some veggies. Midnight snacks have no rules.
I finally got my food wrapped up and headed back to my comfy chair only to find that I’d been usurped.
