Sepia…….

This was a difficult color for me, since I consider Sepia to be a brown with a tinge of orange… and I DO NOT like orange… lol… ok.. now having said that…. LOOK what I found!

I just started randomly going through my clothing landmarks and I happened upon these REALLY cute steampunk-ish ankle boots.  Loved and thought you all might as well.  Go pick your self up a pair of Miss Dandy, bronze gears at lassitude and ennui!

And this outfit from Donna Flora is just the thing to warm you up!

A beautifully tailored suit, trimmed in warm fur at the collar and cuffs.  Squinternet Larnia’s attention to detail is fantastic.  Her fabric textures have so much depth you can almost feel them.  Not to mention her extensive collection of vintage jewelry, you are sure to find just the piece to match ANY outfit.

OK… go ahead and peek.

I’ve been very “into” period clothing lately.  And while I was out and about at Donna Flora, I came across this GREAT lingerie set.  I just had to give you a look. Was the perfect reason to use my dressing room prop from {What Next} too!

The short bed jacket and camisole and shorts are a perfect combo for a cozy evening cuddled up with the one you love or just if you want to feel sexy!  Go by her store and check this set out.. or her jewelry… or her hair… or her shoes… grinz… just go!

Now that winter is nearly upon us I felt a nice sunny post for this week’s color in the bloggers challenge was appropriate.  Goldenrod was a challenging color for me as I have very little yellow in my wardrobe, its does not look good on me in RL so I just don’t usually wear it in SL.  But here goes….. found this groovy outfit at Nyte ‘N’ Day and thought “perfect”.  I love the look and the color is fabulous. AND amazingly enough, Gala looks GREAT in yellow (or goldenrod)!

Week 2 ~ I'm Feeling Blue

Well.. not really but… it is the BLUE week in the 52 Weeks of Color bloggers challenge.  Once in a while I like to take a walk on the wild side… or at least the less dressy side and relax and get comfy.  This outfit is the lazydayIdon’tfeellikefixingmyhairorgoinganywhere outfit I would wear (well I would have on slippers in RL, but this is SL) if I was staying home look.  I bought this outfit on the new Marketplace and it didn’t come with a Landmark (I hate when they do that).  But its from a place called *T & A Designs* and I got the link from the Marketplace, so I hope its right.

I’ve never participated in a bloggers challenge and when I saw Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks Of Color challenge I thought to myself… that I can do!  So, for the first week, here is my contribution.

My offering for this week’s color .. grey.. is a cute little number from League.  These mix and match vests, skirts and thermal socks are nothing new, but still a staple in my closet.

I always like to think I’m thorough before contacting a creator that something is wrong, simply because the problem usually exists between the keyboard and the chair.

But I slipped into the Shades of October shrug the other day and my first thought was, hmmm, where is the shirt?  So then I’m slapping on other layers, and no matter what I did, I was all boobs in the wind – wearing a lovely shrug.

I’d had a problem a couple of days before with another creator’s stuff – the textures were borked and didn’t work so I kind of thought that might be going on, and IM’d Auguste Finair of Shades of October. She asked me if it was like the picture, and I said ,no I’m topless.

And promptly SENT her a topless pic of myself wearing the shrug. (She will probably sell it to you for a good price). Continue reading →
