Wrong Turn

I love boutiques and bargains, but I feel like I may have in fact taken a wrong turn today. This just doesn’t look right. Once I took directions from a zombie in Gatlinburg and it took me hours and hours to get home. I feel like once again, I may have been mislead by one of the undead.

So troubling. Continue reading

Lelutka Brings You New Faces

Lelutka is bringing new mesh Heads on April 1 and no it’s not a joke. The sim is closed for remodeling but it’s coming and the options from Glam Affair that are available already just on the initial version are lovely.

I like the one on the left best of all I think. That’s Aria.

I can’t wait to see more makeups and looks on these new faces.

Closing out Skin Fair – with Adam N Eve

I sat down yesterday to make amends of the skins I hadn’t done yet for SKIN FAIR and omg I didn’t have half of what my offlines says were sent to me.  I panicked. Because as a blogger, I feel an obligation if it’s sent to me and it’s not crap, I should share it with you.

Then I realized, many had been sent by deliverator and omg I was out of town for a week as Skin Fair launched and I was capped. I just didn’t get them. Continue reading

Beach Head

Lelutka is releasing new Mesh Heads and I couldn’t decide what to do with mine to try one out. There are three of them, and I’m just checking out one for today. I decided to take it to the beach. You might think a mesh head would be too hot for the beach but no, I was barely sweating at all in it. That’s PERFECT! It must have that wicking technology baked into the mesh. Continue reading

Sunflowers Bring Me Joy

As a child I used to pick out seeds from a catalog with my grandfather. We’d pick out various vegetables to grow, and fruit, and what sort of things we’d be eating all year as my grandmother and mother spent days and days putting it all up after the harvest.

One special thing we’d plant together were our sunflowers. Planted on the north end of the garden, every day once they’d sprouted we’d walk out together to see if they were taller than I.E Eventually they were, reaching up to the sun, while the bees swarmed around the flowers and the hot Hoosier sun beat down on us and we took in their beauty. Sometimes Friday Needs Style

The fog rolling in on Juicy this morning wasn’t inspiring me to much of anything I confess.  What I really craved this morning was to sit around and watch tv and not get much done. I’ve finally gotten my living room moved in after far too long in this house. I’m not sure what I’ve been waiting on. Some sign it was the right one? Some reason to stay? Continue reading

Les Liasons Dangereuses

One of my favorite lines from any book is by Margaret Atwood. “I want all my hurts to be intentional.”

It’s a personal mantra. It’s two sided to me. It means I don’t want to unintentionally cause harm or sadness. Being a human person means you do in fact do that sometimes. Through your actions or decisions you might hurt another person, even someone you care about. The best you can do in that situation is apologize. You can’t always fix it, some times you can’t go back – or going back isn’t where fate is taking you. But you can be honest, and try to move forward with good intentions even if you can’t remove that thing that hurts.

Intentional hurts though are something reserved for people I am truly at odds with. It’s hard to sit here and think of an actual instance, but I’d venture that when under attack I’m not against returning fire – and returning fire in a harsh fashion. I think that’s fair too. It’d be more adult to walk away, refuse to engage. Sometimes I can be that person. But sometimes, just sometimes if I respond I know it will be with malice and spite.  Continue reading

Love In Mysterious Ways

Sometimes I feel more in love than others. I am invested so deeply that sometimes I forget the love and passion that drives the machine of a love affair – even when it’s a long term one. Continue reading

Back into Routine

Pixel Gidge struggled for a week to get her life back on track.  Travelling through multiple airports and trudging through foreign lands wore her out. Sure, it was amazing awesome times, and getting to see one of your favorite people ever is worth any amount of tired but still, getting back TO your life can be a challenge.

She’s back on track, trying to keep everything going now with the help of her little dog. Her house is messy and she’s got to spend some time cleaning today I predict.  Continue reading

And I Need To Get Home

Home is that place where you walk in and you’re at ease, it’s your space. You’re not only welcome there you feel a strong sense of it being the right place. Sometimes it’s just your space, sometimes it’s a space you share. You can feel HOME at a place that isn’t your dwelling, and that’s the best feeling of all, because that’s the most welcoming and happy feeling of all. You know it’s a good place, if you feel like it’s home when you step inside.

Inside you usually find your people, even when you’re not connected by DNA.  Continue reading
