I headed back to LEA29 to see the completed art exhibit by FreeWee Ling before it disappears. You should go quickly. Set your graphics to high with the shadows turned to Sun, Moon & Projectors – as most of the exhibit is an exploration of projectors and the light and shadows they cast.
While I focused on the black and white elements, there is a lot of color in the installation – particularly from light projectors.
Trompe Loeil has released a home pub for FAMESHED this round and I had this huge spot left where my Christmas tree was, and well, HOME PUB! You understand right? I NEEDED it! Continue reading
OMGAH A FASHION BLOGGER WEARING OLD HAIR! (That pic is for you Alicia !)
I am on the hunt for a smaller inventory but as I’m digging in and going through the lot of it, I confess I’m pulling out a thing or two and seeing what it is. This hair from TRUTH reminded me that I need to keep my eye on “boy hair” releases more often, because although this is an older hair, boy hair is always great for showing off earrings and skin because it’s up and out of your way.
The hair is a little older and a little dated (amazing what even months can mean now, in how we expect things to look, much less YEARS) but I had to give it one last spin. YOU SERVED ME WELL HAIR. Continue reading

It’s been a while since we have featured a guest stylist here at It’s Only Fashion, but after I ran into Maeve Byron at the Mahrathon this weekend, I had to ask her to volunteer. She said she liked the blog, so of course, I wanted to feature her. Besides, she was a generous supporter of the Mahrathon – which raised 322,000 lindens for Heifer International. Yay!
According to Maeve, “I guess my style puts comfort as the main priority. Although fashion blogs like A Passion For Virtual Fashion, Juicybomb and of course It’s Only Fashion have inspired me, I don’t really jump on cutting edge style; I prefer a more classic look…maybe it’s an age thing. I like to look smart, tasteful, cute and approachable.”
I think she succeeds. Don’t you?
The Acid Lily event returning was a bit like “Hmmmm, have I heard of this event? I THINK I have…. What is it?” Let’s face it, there are so many events, sometimes it’s tough to separate the wheat from the chaff. My computer is back! New logic board, new graphics card and new adapter. I actually got it back last night, but then my wireless router when fuzzy and I could not access the internet. It almost made me feel as though the internet was picking on me. However, it’s fixed now and I am back. It felt good to log in and put on a new outfit and freshen up a bit. I even did a manicure, using the new polish applicators from FLAIR.
I picked up this jacket and skirt last month while I was hunting around Mimikri for a good jacket to wear with something. This jacket did not work for what I needed at the moment, but I loved it and the skirt that coordinates with it. Actually, I pulled the jacket from one color set and the skirt from another just to have a little extra contrast, but for folks who like their jackets and skirts to match, they can buy them in matching colors, too. Bilo is one of the most unique clothing brands in Second Life. In additional to the usual Western style designs, Bilo’s Mayaa Thistle also designs clothing drawn from Islamic fashion aesthetics such as this lovely caftan adorned with a wonderful fabric featuring an intricate pattern that developed from the focus on nonrepresentational figures in Islamic art. It is refreshing to see Islamic fashion represented with respect and accuracy in Second Life. When it is as lovely as this caftan, it’s doubly rewarding.
