Gidgeus Maximus

It’s been a dull roar for some time that I should try out a CATWA head. I confess, I haven’t really much looked into it. I went over once and looked at them and their vendor ads made me feel like I was on a strange planet and so at that point I figured it wasn’t for me.

Anything I have to think too much about is truly too much work in my SL. I’m a lazy girl. This isn’t new. If it IS new, you must have just joined our program already in session. However, having seen some amazing photos over the past few months and the conversion of people I like and respect has given way to a feeling of “Hmmm, perhaps I should check them out again.” Continue reading

The more you leave out, the more you highlight what you leave in.

“The more you leave out, the more you highlight what you leave in.”

Henry Green was talking about editing and writing when he said, “The more you leave out, the more you highlight what you leave in.” The truth of that statement, though, applies to fashion as well as writing or any other kind of art. That is why I enjoy wonderfully restrained minimalist design like you get from ISON & Rowne. These pieces are from a showcase collection that will be taken off the market after September 30th, so go to ISON as soon as you can.

Be like a peacock and dance with all your beauty

Be like a peacock and dance with all of your beauty.

Peacocks are glorious creatures, peahens are so dowdy by their side. Aren’t we lucky that both the male and the female of our species can, if they choose, be as gaudy as a peacock or as subtle as a peahen? I am going for the gaudy side today with this gloriously embellished butterfly “Glasswings” dress from Reverie for The Arcade.

BAD DOG! BAD DOG!

My new dog doesn’t seem to realize that I’m CLEANING today. He apparently decided that what I really wanted to do was have a bigger mess! I don’t know about you, but the last thing I really like is for stuff to get completely drenched in soggy dog dirt after I get it clean. Now, this own’t do at all….BAD DOG! Continue reading

The soul becomes dyed with the color of its thoughts.

The soul becomes dyed with the color of its thoughts.

Self-help has not changed much since 160 C.E. when Marcus Aurelius was journaling. His published Meditations are a twelve-volume collection of self-help books that are in the public domain, free to anyone to download for their fill of his “Think Yourself” [insert desired quality here] philosophy.

You probably think I am kidding. I am not. Here’s a bit of the self-help advice from good old Marky A.

  • Yes, you can—if you do everything as if it were the last thing you were doing in your life.
  • You don’t love yourself enough. Or you’d love your nature too, and what it demands of you.
  • Nothing happens to anyone that he can’t endure. (Absolute baloney)
  • Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.

Pizza for Breakfast

The Arcade will be winding up in a few days and let’s face it, it’s PRIMO time to get in there and complete your collections. The Early Shoppers throngs are gone, you can move around without lag and the goods in the machines are all as awesome as they were DAY ONE. I decided that what I would do was make a run, right after I had some delicious PIZZA for breakfast.

I need to keep up my strength. Continue reading

I’m So Tired…

Tired of being admired…../sings in her best Madeline Kahn voice. I am tired though. My day has been exhausting. I’m worn out from people and things and the lack of them being what I want. So I’m to bed early, with some treats and my sleep mask designed to keep out the light until I decide it’s time for my day to start again. Continue reading

Domestic Suits Her

I’m a simple pixel girl and this time of year i’m always excited about the myriad of goodies that start appearing for my kitchen. Yes I’m a pixel baker, I can’t help it. I never have to worry about the calories – so what’s the problem anyway right?  Continue reading

WWDW

It was a woman's bedroom, actually a boudoir, and no man belonged in it except by invitation.

Maylee Oh of The Secret Store answered the burning question, “What Would Dita Wear?” for the September Collabor88 showcase. And she answered it beautifully with lovely rockabilly lingerie that hits all the right notes. Not only that, she answered ten times over in beautiful color combinations of polka dots and solids.
